Good for night time - nice price point.
I have always been blessed with good skin, lucky me. However, after just celebrating my 40th birthday, I think my good genes are in need of some help. I'm new to having any sort of skin care routine other than washing with whatever soap is handy and using a moisturizer.I have a few tiny wrinkles around my eyes and nose. My biggest concern was congested and dull skin. After doing some research online, I decided a Vitamin A Retinol Serum was the way to go for me. But I wasn't about to spend the amount of money that some "top brands" demand for their products. I'm a simple girl and I'm frugal wherever I can be.I came across the Derma -E line and found that lots of people like it for the price and product quality. Good stuff at a fair price? Count me in!In my opinion, this works as a night serum only. It's a little thicker than what I'd like to have on my face all day and I don't think it would do well under cosmetics. Even when dry, there is a bit of sticky residue. It's not bothersome nor does it feel heavy. I just notice it's there and I would not like that in the day time.As I've only been using this for a few weeks, I can't give an opinion on how this will work long term. I understand it takes a few months of daily use to really see improvement. What I can tell you is that so far, I really like it. My skin feel softer. I wash my face and put this on each evening, and then use a moisturizer (same one as before).I do think my skin looks a little less dull, even after such a short time. The jury remains out on any wrinkle improvement, but I'll be sure to update. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

Great product for a reasonable price
This serum is moisturizing without being heavy and works so much better than I could have hoped for at such a reasonable price. I have mature, sensitive, dry skin that is somehow still acne-prone, and this serum works to hydrate and smooth out my skin beautifully without irritation, breakouts, or redness. I use it day and night and sometimes layer it, applying a heavier moisturizer over it as needed. A little goes a long way, and I am finding that a 2oz bottle of this lasts longer than the same quantity of several other similar products I have tried.

Ingredients on Amazon are wrong
Update: It's been 3 months of using 2 pumps a night before moisturizer and I'm nearing the end of the bottle. I had no bad reaction, my fine lines (especially smile lines) are reduced, my skin is soft and dewy, and I used to have problems with lots of little clogged pores around my cheeks and nose, but those are mostly gone! I'm very happy I bought this! I've changed my rating to 4 stars.----Original review:In two separate places in the product description, the ingredients are listed as:Purified Water, Glycerin (Vegetable Derived), Organic Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Coco-Caprylate (Coconut Derived), Xanthan Gum, Diheptyl Succinate, Capryloyl Glycerin/Sebacic Acid Copolymer, Glycolic Acid, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate (Vegetable Derived), Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate (Vegetable Derived), Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Natural Fragrance OilsThese are wrong. You'll notice that green tea extract has gone down several slots, and glycolic acid, an ingredient featured on the front of the box, is way down in the list now too. Meaning there's less of those ingredients than what is advertised on Amazon. There are a few more ingredients that were lowered in favor of cheaper ones, but there aren't any crazy additions from what I can tell. All the ingredients are the same, just in a different order. I'll use the serum anyway since I already have it here, but I am disappointed that I got less of the good ingredients I thought I was paying for. I figured it'd be good information for future shoppers. I'll update this review if the serum does anything significant, good or bad.

Run, don't walk, to get this stuff!
I found this in Whole Foods, tried it and loved it. Now I order it here. I'm middle aged with mixed dry/normal skin and was looking for a moisturizer that would lock in a whole lot of moisture, keep that "dewy" feeling all day, repair my skin, reduce my pores and have ingredients that aren't harmful (which seem to be in every beauty product these days). THIS PRODUCT DOES IT ALL. I am SO THRILLED. I combined it with twice a week Neutrogena MicroDermabrasion and my ruddy, dry, mottled skin is getting compliments from friends, family and even the La Mer rep at Nordstrom. My mother is using this too, now, and she loves it. I am highly skeptical about most beauty products, am a meticulous ingredient list analyzer (I'm learning a lot that I wished I knew when I was younger) and this is absolutely perfect for me. I am so grateful for this line. It's just amazing and affordable. (I wasn't paid for this, I never received free product -- just a happy customer who tried it out in a store and used it for month with amazing results!)

Effectivness and Value
I have been using Derma E products for several years. The value and results are as good as it gets. I have taken a break once or twice in the last couple of years just to see if there was truth that your skin "gets used to products". Poor choice. The other products did not perform no well as near as these did, nor did they hold the value and I quickly returned to Derma E. I don't expect miracles'from any cosmetic product, but Derma E has helped keep my skin looking it's best as I age and kept me "comfortable in my skin". I'm judged to be 10-15 years younger than I am. Usually women ask me what I use and I tell them Derma E products. Plus it has a social conciousness that is important to me. This product took the place of my Retin-A after my skin became too sensitive to it. Same results, no more inflamed skin. As long as Derma E products are around, so will I be there using them.
