Is the blade heat treated and if so to what hardness?

no it is not, unfortunately it is cheaply made

The reviews say it's made in China. The blade however is stamped from 1055 carbon steel. And it is sharp.

Does it come with a warranty?

No warranty, but you will not need one. This shovel is made tough to last. Heavy duty construction and very nice finish.
