The heavy duty table is worth the money....
The heavy table is well worth the 100 bucks in my opinion ...Far better then one of those Chinese abominations that come packed in cosmoline....My use for the table is rather esoteric ......I use it to jewel odd ball shaped firearm components, so i can not speak of how well it would work for machining.....The heavy table is rather well made for what it is.....The base is cast iron and finished nicely ( the bottom of the base is actually flat ) ...The table is aluminum ( not wimpy ) the end caps our metal... The table accepts 6mm t-nuts...The X and Y wheels turn easily and smoothly.. The axis do use bearings so they move very smoothly....There are no measurement markings on the handwheels of any type... Overall its constructed sturdily and finished well ( Keep in mind its obvious limitations and you will be fine )

A Good Compromise
Definitely made better & works better than the cheaper version, but it does have its share of weaknesses. Depending on the job & amount of accuracy needed it will suffice. Unfortunately in my case, accuracy is paramount. The table although well constructed, is a lightweight alum so it has a little flex when clamping down certain materials. I figured out how to overcome that, only to realize the saddle also has some deflection, about 0.03" But again the project determines how critical this is. Not a bad device & if I was forced into this type of compromise again, this is the unit to buy.

Crossvice
Once you get it the first thing you need to do is completely disassemble it and clean the grinding dust out with brakes clean, then oil it up and then it works like it should. The Chinese employees don’t seem to have any pride in their work to them its just a paycheck.

For the price - no complaints
Few minor issues with rotating handles aside (when handle bolt is tightened, it also prevents handle from spinning) the milling table is surprisingly robust and beefy. It feels very positive when operating and didn't seem to resonate or jiggle while milling. I do want to point out that I only tried it on soft metals. Not planning to do anything with SS or titanium, so can't comment on toughness at those level. Overall very happy with price-to-quality ratio. I'm not a serial machinist, so I needed something cheap enough for a device that won't get used much, but good enough to produce good results when I do use it. This is it.
