A bit flimsy, slides around, not very stable

These clear book-ends are elegant and functional in any setting. I am very happy with them

I was so disappointed with these bookends that I've already returned them. Despite the product description stating these are "heavy duty" this couldn't be further from the truth. When I first took them out of the box I immediately thought they were something you'd buy at a dollar store. They were so cheap looking. I wouldn't have minded so much how they looked if they'd actually supported my books.They're so flimsy and light they couldn't prevent even a small amount of my books from toppling over. No matter how hard I tried (and I really did try) I just couldn't get them to hold anything upright. They're also slippery, which made them skate all over the place.Like I said, I returned them the same day I received them. Life's too short to struggle with bookends. Very disappointed!

I ordered these for my classroom library and LOVE how sturdy they are. I have heavy hard cover, high page count books on the shelves and these acrylic bookends do the job! I also love how sleek they are.. You can’t even see them. Perfect for a minimalist (or anyone) who doesn’t love the clunky look of heavy bookends.

How awesome are these acrylic bookstands? They are just what I needed! I had two different purposes for ordering these, one for a heavy set of books that I wanted to show off the covers for and obviously didn't want them to topple over and two, for taking book photos for my Instagram, I needed an unobtrusive way to stand the books up. These stands work perfectly for my needs!They're nice and sturdy, clear, seamless, and well made. I was also very happy with how they arrived. They came individually bubble wrapped in a second box inside the original Amazon box, protecting each one. They were in great clear condition when they came out of the wraps. I'm sure the bottoms will eventually show scratches but since the books sit on the base to create the weight to keep them in place, it'll be covered and I'm fine with that. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

I have a lot of books and have a variety of bookends, some of which are mostly decorative (not useable for heavy books) and some purely functional (needed for the heavier books). I am one of those people who “style” my bookshelves with a combination of books and decorative items, so I need a mix of bookends to achieve the desired visually-pleasing effect. These are the perfect functional bookends. Since they are clear, the bookends aren’t noticeable on the shelf - they make it appear that the books are standing up all on their own and it’s easy to see the cover of the book through the bookend. I took 2 pictures, so you can see how they look on a bookshelf, one from a bit of a distance and one closer up. The price point is very good. I am very happy with this purchase.
