Turquoise Falls Mug Hand Thrown North Carolina Pottery Coffee Cup

The pictures of the single mug is both sides of the mug I bought March 2023. The picture with 2 mugs has a mug I bought at the end of 2018. Both of them are Page Pottery mugs. The newer one looks smaller, but they both hold the same amount of liquid. Page Pottery makes the most beautiful clay mugs. I love the look, I'm obsessed with the teal/ green color, I love the matt glaze on the older one and love the mix of gloss and matt glaze on the new one, the way if fits in your hand, I want more! Out of the 2 mugs, I don't have a favorite one because I just love them both. And I absolutely love the hand written note that you get with your package. I love these mugs do much I just ordered another one.

Super sturdy, it fit perfectly in my hand and was just beautiful. My only complaint is I broke it :(

This potting company is THE BEST!! I LOVE THIS MUG!! The glazes are unique and the turning is thin but not too thin. The shipping was amazing - the box could have been dropped from a great height and the mug would have been fine! Very impressive!! The name is Page Pottery and I can't wait to buy more!

Just got my mug it’s lovly and all but I have big fingers and the picture shows a woman fitting all four finger into the holding part of the mug and I can barely fit 2 which is really a bit of a let down

My mug arrived today safe and sound. It is absolutely beautiful and I just love it. My tea stays warm all the way to the last sip. I love how cozy it feels to hold the mug with the warm tea inside.The colors are beautiful and the organic shape is very satisfying. This is a very beautiful piece of craftsmanship.

A handwritten note was just the nicest touch, but the mug is perfection. Colors are spot on, its easy to hold and really sturdy.

I’m a sucker for ceramic pieces made by local artisans. When I saw I could support one thru Amazon I decided to go for it. I absolutely LOVE my new mug. Comfy in my hand and it’s bigger than expected - I can fit almost 2 cups of coffee in it! Happy dancing into my morning work-from-home routine!

Well it's just such a nice, jolly, pot-bellied mug and my wife finds it very warming to hold in her hands when she has her tea. It does take a long time to get to you, though, and since it was a replacement for a favored mug that died an honorable death, cracking in the service of its mistress, I was anxious for it to get here since no suitable interim mug ever really rose to the challenge.I had to come back and take a full star away. There are two reasons I downgraded the review. The first was present when it shipped originally, but I decided to leave it alone since we didn't return it. That is, there was a chip at the base of the handle. I figured, since it is hand-thrown, which means perfection is difficult, and since it may have been the shipping that chipped it, I wouldn't get into that. The second has become apparent over time. When hot tea is made, the handle itself gets extremely hot. I don't know why it conducts so much heat to the handle. Maybe the green color is produced by copper in the glaze and the copper carries that heat to the handle, but it's hard to hold that handle until the tea cools down. It still gets four stars because it remains a jolly pot, but I don't like the way the handle gets so hot at all.
