Handy. Works perfectly. Makes tuning smoother!
I love this stuff I really do. I know I could just rub a candle around my bearing edges and it would probably do the same thing. But this is a nice handy size, has a decent smell, and can go in your stick bag easily. It's just so handy. Every time I take a head off of wood drums, I put this on. I also use it on my fiberglass drums. I've never felt the need for it on any of my metal snares, but maybe it would work well.

Works well , would purchase again!!!! Drum Dial Bearing Edge Conditioner.
Works very well while tuning snare drums that don’t have the best bearing edges to them, tuned up effortlessly.Drum dial and Drum Dial Bearing edge conditioner have made it much easier to tune drums.

I can see the advantage to using this product to assist in an even seating of the tone ring. I did use it on one banjo, and it seemed easier to tighten evenly across the tension hoop nuts.

Yes, this stuff works
I had one trouble tom on my Pearl MRX kit, and decided to try this bearing edge conditioner for the edges of the tom, where they contact the head. I don't know if it was JUST this conditioner or the fact that I also greased the lugs, but this definitely helps with keeping the drum in tune if you use it properly. Follow the instructions: just a little bit right on the edge of the drum (not the drumhead). A little bit goes a long way, so $10 for a tube that might last for the life of the drumset... why not? Yes, you have to remove the head completely to apply it, but you should be loosening the lugs anyway every time you tune/seat your head, so why not take the extra step and apply this stuff once every month or so?

Make your tuning more precise.
I like the idea of this product. I have only put it on my metal snare drum so far. My only issue with this product is that the application is a bit messy. The shape of the stick does not make much sense for rubbing over a bearing edge, but I get that this is an easy way to design the product. A method of application that did not require a paper towel would be easier, but I can't really complain. Since I have a drum dial, I find that tuning is relatively easy to begin with, but sometimes when tuning up a tension rod, the tension will jump up more than I want even when I barely turn the tension rod. Since using this product, I have not had any problems with the tension in the head jumping up after tightening a tension rod (meaning I can adjust in small increments for fine tuning). It seems to me that this product does exactly what is supposed to do.

This stuff works!
Definitely makes drum tuning a different task. Much easier, once the heads are stretched after playing them, and re-tuning a few times, the heads stay in tune. They dont have that pop and crack catching sound on the bearing edges of your shells when this stuff is used. Can tune your set to extreme accuracy with this stuff.
