A real quality time saver
If you have ever tried to mess with soldering wires and nuts and bolts connections to connect multiple solar power wire leads you will really appreciate how easy it is to plug in just any size wire (up to 6AWG) by simply screwing down the clamp into one of the many connectors on this unit. The screw heads are heavy duty and easy to reach with a power head screw driver that is set to not exceed the torque rating on the screws. I had to move my wiring around repeatedly during the transition of the solar panels to their permanent location and each time I did, I really appreciated how easy, reliable, and quick moving the wires around is using two of these. I used one for connecting all the positive terminals and the other for the negative terminals. In my case the 60 Amp capacity is a big plus as I will not be transferring more than a maximum of 40 amps during peak charging periods. Be sure your system also does not exceed the 60 amps and if it does, just buy two of these per pole and distribute the wires equally between the two to ensure it can carry the load.

Leaving a 5 star review for a great seller. Good communication and personal touch. This combiner is perfect in normal application. I read complaints of other units from Dinkle not gripping 10g wire tightly. I found excellent connection points and a strong hold on the wire. I even disconnected and reconnected several times. The one big issue with this unit is if you need to modify it at all. There were no combiners that offered the gauge I needed, with 2 separate rails for plus and minus. I read another reviewer say that the seller said they could cut the shunt rail to modify it. Not sure if that was a different seller, but this was no easy task. The plastic bends and breaks under the most minor force. The shunt rail should be easily removable but it isn't. After a decent amount of damage to the unit, I was able to remove it. But great care had to be taken to not break things. Once removed, it was a piece of cake. If used normally, the unit is excellent and highly recommended.

Note Well: Every connector is connected by Default!
As much as I like this box, I probably won't be able to use it as I had originally intended. (I thought I could use it as a bus on either side, one for positive and one for negative.) I purchased with the intention of combining several solar panels in parallel, with the negative leads on one side and the positive leads on the other side. What I didn't know: Both sides of each row are connected. This may be typical for a combiner box, but I did not know this. As I had expected, each row is connected with the one before it and the one after it, by default. So all rows are connected, due to the red colored bridge down the middle, which can be removed with a flat head screw driver. This means that by default, each and every connector is tied with all the rest (on either side and from every single row). Perhaps the red bar, referred to by the seller as push pins or a jumper bar should probably not be attached to the unit, prior to shipment. By pulling it out, each row is independent, but remember: Both sides of each row are still tied. This is great for a combiner box in the conventional sense I suppose. What I wanted was to be able to combine the positive (+) leads from my solar panels on one side, and all the negative (-) leads on the other side. The plan was to then take a single wire from the positive side as well as a single wire from the negative side, and feed these into my grid tie inverter. I temporarily subjected one or both panels to a closed circuit. Fortunately, I soon figured out what was going on. However, I could have used better directions. As it stands, I would have to buy a second one of these in order to use it the way I had intended (as a separate bus for + and -).

Very well built Combiner box. Great Seller. Worth every penny
After watching endless youtube videos, none of which suggested this item we stumbled across this item on Amazon. We bought this to build a combiner box for our RV Rooftop parallel wired solar system. Shipping was very fast. The Item is well built, very sturdy and works great for our purpose. The Seller is super. We had some question, left him a quick phone message and he called right back. Was very helpful. Seller suggested that for our purpose we could take out the red strip on top (in our case we wanted half for positive and half for negative wires coming from solar panels to combine and have one positive and one negative go out to charge controller. So we took the red strip out, cut it in half and reinserted them on opposite channel sides. It is hard to see from the picture, but the red top strip runs in one of two channels on top. We used half the strip in one channel, the other half of the red strip in the other channel. Worked out great. This was done two weeks ago and everything is working wonderfully.

Very solid.
Since this is a made up of modular components, one might be concerned about it's durability, but this is a very solid setup. No issues with it being flimsy. I saw other reviews that said the press-fit jumper was difficult to remove, but it is not at all. Just take a small flat screwdriver and pry lightly at one end a little, then move down an inch or so and pry again. Work your way down and then start back at the beginning, prying a little bit more each time. It came right out. Then I was able to cut it with a pair of side-cutter snips. This is, of course, if you want to separate out some sections from others. The way it comes assembled, all of the sections are combined. Great if that's what you're after, but if not, it can be easily separated.

Worth the cash.

Was able to remove Jumper with a flat head and pliers, can fit AWG 6 easily. To make it two blocks I cut the jumper in half and set one side separate from the other. Din rail is small, I added it to a larger din rail and it worked out nicely for my solar combiner circuit (see attached). Exactly what I was looking for.
