I bought this along with two smaller ones from a different manufacturer. This one is ok but the sides are not very tall so you can’t fit very many legos inside (at least not as many as I was expecting). The other two I bought were much deeper and held a good amount of legos.

A serious Master Builder might ask what makes this better than a big, clear bin (for storage) and a bed sheet (for quick clean-up). With the Lay-n-Go Lifestyle Activity Mat you get the best of both worlds: it's essentially a parachute-like blanket with embedded strings around the edge. Completely pull out the string and the contraption cinches up into a neat little knapsack. It even has straps so your Master Builder (in training) can lug his or her own blocks around (yes!). The inside has some Velcro-sealing pockets for isolating more important items: mini-figures, manuals, brick-poppers, etc. Yes, maybe the price does seem a little steep, but the manufacturer did not cheap out on construction and materials. We got the smaller sized bag and it works just fine for our kids. We've even had Legos laid out on a bed sheet, wadded the whole thing up, and stuffed it inside the activity mat along with all the other loose pieces already in there. Unless you have gotten to the point where your builder is indexing Legos in shelves and tackle boxes, this should reduce a lot of stress during clean-up and transport. I would highly recommend this to any parents of Lego builders.

This is a great buy i need this to keep my builds all together and easy to tare down for when my liveing room goes from project room to guest room. Its so easy to keep all my pieces together not louseing anything and sinch up to put away in seconds. I 100% definitely recommend this to any Parent or adult that wants to store there toy models.

We inherited Legos from family and then the kid got more on his own. The end result... way too many Legos underfoot and so much nagging to get them picked up after playtime. Enter this fantastic playmat. The Legos live in it, and when they are being played with the bag opens up to a playmat on which all the stuff can be built. Then when done, just cinch up the sides and it's all picked up! Genius invention and I recommend it to all people who have to deal with small toys with too many pieces that end up everywhere all over your home. It's the best.

I LOVE this lego mat. My husband and I were going nuts stepping on all my son's tiny legos, which we'd been attempting to organize in bins. The bins worked until he needed a certain piece and dumped everything out on the floor again. This mat is perfect, you literally just pull the drawstring and cinch up. It's also easy for my son to "clean up" his legos when requested, aka throw everything onto the mat. Taking all his legos to the park for a playdate was also a breeze with this super portable mat. Yes, it's expensive but you get what you pay for - great quality, super durable and the priceless gift of your sanity. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
