My daughter uses a fan for sleeping. This is a perfect fan for small spaces and great for sleep. Many small fans aren’t loud or strong enough to help with sleep. This Vornado is great. It actually plugs into a wall outlet so gets plenty of power. So compact, lightweight but a really good blast of air and a just-right-for-sleep whirring sound. Inexpensive and very effective! Happy purchase!

Perfect size, perfect white noise, perfect wind! Love this fan, easy to bring when travelling.

This fan folds up nicely and doesn’t take up much space in the suitcase. It also provides a good amount of air considering the size. However if you are looking for a fan that gives you a soothing noise to fall asleep too this is not it, much quieter than I’d hoped given Vornado brand.

I work in an office where we take calls throughout the day and I needed something quiet for my desk. This thing packs a punch without it being extremely noisy. I like that it’s adjustable so you can make sure it’s hitting your face or wherever you want it too. It cools me off pretty quick. The fan is very durable and worth every penny!

I bought this for travel more for the noise than the fan but it works like a charm. Cute, small, and the folding stand makes it really easy to pack. Great value for the money and very easy to use.

I was sent an item someone had fully opened and returned. The plastic packaging, the cord wrap, and the cover for the metal part of the plug were all shoved to the bottom of the box with the fan sitting on top. The fan has a small scrape on the front of it but it works fine and I didn’t want to wait for a return and getting a new one so I’m just keeping it. There’s nowhere for me to write to let them know this happened other than a review so here it is.The fan itself is great. Good size for desk/small office. Quiet enough.

This Vornado fan is the perfect size for travel or to set inside a partially open window. It is quiet and provides a strong airflow.However, the plastic hinges on the base are difficult to operate and I have to force them open from a closed position. I can already tell that I will probably break them at some point from forcing them to fold. After 5 uses, the fan tipped over from high-speed vibration inside my window sill...and one corner of the plastic base chipped off. Note that the fan did not fall to the floor...it just fell on its side inside the window...and broke off a plastic corner. The plastic base on this fan is incredibly cheaply made and seriously detracts from the quality of an otherwise well-made product. If I could go back in time, I'd cut a piece of plywood and duct tape it to the bottom of this fan - and leave the fan permanently unfolded at the base.

This fan is permitted on cruise ships. I have been in many cruises and the cruise line’s supply of fans is small, so always being my own. I just travelled to the desert where the temps topped out at 118. I use a fan at night as white noise and to also keep the air around me circulating. This fan is not extremely powerful, but is the perfect travel companion for drowning out your partners snoring or to provide a respite from the heat. The fan fits perfectly on a hotel nightstand and has a long enough cord to plug into the wall outlet. I am very pleased with the quality and would definitely recommend.

I bought this fan for my son to stay in a residence at university that did not have air conditioning. He was flying there so needed something small in his suitcase. This fan was a lifesaver. He used it every day for a whole summer, and when our central air broke down temporarily this year he pulled out his trusty fan and was the only one of us who was comfortable. For a small fan it works great, is quite and is portable. A great purchase.

This fan was available for sale on amazon.co.uk and it was not made clear that this fan comes with a US plug so cannot be used in the UK without a converter. If you are in the UK and are thinking about buying this fan, do not buy it as you won't be able to easily use it. I will be returning mine.
