Exactly as described! It does leak when down or upside down, but otherwise it's fine. The straw is durable but soft, and the insulation works perfectly! I love that it came with labels so you can out your kiddos name or your contact info in case it gets lost. The design is beautiful, I got the purple unicorn one, and the outside is very smooth. The handle is durable as well. Perfect for my 3 year old.

The thermos is fabulous, so much so that I'm going to buy the larger size one as well. It does not leak, and absolutely keeps my drinks cold. It's easy to clean, simple to assemble and I love it. The product woks when used as intended and directions for use are properly followed. Common sense will tell you that if you haven't put things together properly after cleaning it will leak, so do it right before you fill it, which means taking an extra one whole second to give the straw a tug to make sure the knobby part is fitted properly, and it won't leak. Common sense also says that this product does not have any sort of self sealing straw. I literally can not believe that some people can't grasp this concept and leave bad product reviews when it is a fact of the most basic common sense. Even for people who have never used a thermos product before, the product page has CLEAR instructions for INTENDED product use, and ASSEMBLY instructions. Neither are hard to read or do. If you read the instructions for assembly and use before you buy the product you will know what you're in for. You'll know that for the cold ones you should follow the instructions for maximum efficiency, which means properly chilling the product, and you'll also know how to properly assemble the item. Granted, continued use over time will mean that the soft parts (straw, etc) will age and be less efficient over time, just like anything else does, again.. basic common sense. Honestly, a child could put this together properly and use it, I know because my niece comes over ans swipes it for her own use often while visiting. I just tell her to make sure she chills it for a few minutes and tug on the straw to make sure it's properly in place. Even she can make it work as intended without it leaking. So, if you have common sense and put the extra second into ensuring it's being used as intended, you can ignore the negative reviews. By the way, I LOVE the purple color, it's beautiful, and I wish the larger one came in the same dark violet color, I'll settle for the lighter purple variant though. :)

I stand by these water bottles as durable, toddler friendly, easy to clean, and the perfect size. We've been using them for a couple of years now and they have been dropped more times than I can count. The outside of the matte and character ones have seen better days but I admittedly put them in the dishwasher regularly. I'm sure they will hold up better if you hand wash. The metallic one has held up better on the outside, all of them still function as good as new otherwise. They also sell replacement mouth and straw pieces which I've also purchased since one or two of mine ended up in the garbage disposal by accident. My two year old can open and close these independently and the handle is essential for his independence in carrying it around. We are pretty rough on these and I will continue to purchase as my kiddo grows.

Honestly this thermos is great! Only complaint is the straw is too short, it doesn't reach the bottom so there is always almost an inch of beverage left in the container. But its very durable, leak proof, easy for my daughter's tiny hands to hold on her own. VERY easy to clean all parts. I have no worries about hidden parts for nasty growth.
