We got this for my son so he could make Youtube videos. The video quality is good, including night vision, and audio is very good for a camera without an external mic, which was a major consideration for him. He's very happy with the camera. For the price, I don't think we could really as for more.

PIECE OF CRAP!!!! Doesn't hold a charge for longer than 15 minutes!!!! Didn't record anything!!! Such a disappointment!!! Bought to record our Daughter's Varsity Sports!!!!! Tried to return.....'they' won't let us!!!!! We kept holding out hope & had people look at it & NOBODY could get this "camera" to operate at all!!!!! STAY AWAY from this camera. Not sure who wrote these other reviews,they are not accurate w/ our experience!!!!!

We bought this as a replacement for our 9 year old Mini DV camcorder. We mistakenly trusted the other reviews, but given how many of them were paid reviews, perhaps I shouldn't have.When I received the camera, it all seemed nice enough. The packaging is good, the camera seems fine for the price, and all the necessary cables were there. Setting it up was easy and the battery and SD card were easily installed.Once it was charged, I turned it on and starting messing with the menu. This was not intuitive, but that's fine, it worked. From there, everything went south. Here are the 3 big problems we ran into:1) When zooming in or out, it's not smooth. It "jumps" from one zoom level to the next, making a stuttery/choppy experience. I've never seen a camera in my life that doesn't do this smoothly, including basic point and shoot digital cameras and smartphones.2) When taping in 1080p, the video was choppy. I got a class 10 SD card (and class 4 or higher was recommended), so I don't believe it was a memory problem, I just think it's a bad camera.3) I spent an hour trying to get video off of the camera onto the computer. The disc that came with it gave me an error when trying to run it, so I opened up Windows Explorer and found the driver folder. I installed the driver and rebooted my computer, and the only thing that changed was I had a new piece of software installed on my desktop that didn't help me at all (it was for video capture from webcams). I still don't have the video off of my SD card.I'll be returning this camera and I've learned 3 things:1) Make sure you can get confirmation that zoom in/out is smooth on cameras2) Don't trust paid reviewers3) Maybe I should have spent more money on a video camera.

It doesn't work. Unable to turn on/off. Screen is locked in white background with blue stripes. Set up instruction manual does not give detailed instructions. It's ready to be returned. Camera is hot when battery connected.After camera was returned I was offered a free camera for an honest rating of 5 stars...the camera never arrived...I'm staying with a one star rating, both for the camera and customer service.

Great camera, works great. very nice night vision mode. only two problems/concernsThe Infrared light is rather bright. though you can't see the light with your eyes, the camera will make it look too bright if you are to close to an object or person.Secondly, when I switch the camera to night vision mode, the camera thinks the battery is dead and shuts off, even on a brand new charged battery. you will need to have it plugged in to either an external rechargeable battery pack or the wall when switching to night vision.

This was a was a Christmas gift for my significant other, it turned on once for a moment and then we could not get it to work again. We though it was the battery so we tried it in another camcorder we have and the battery worked fine. We called tech support to see if they could walk us through trying to fix it but ultimately we could not get it to work. They said we would have to contact the seller if we wanted a replacement but not sure how long it would take to hash it out with them or we could just get an Amazon gift card and call it a day. We opted for the gift card. Sometimes I try not to pay too much attention to the reviews, but I should have on this item. A good portion of the reviews said they had the same issue as we did.. I would not recommend this camera since our experience with it was a negative one.

Ok..my first review was positive however I just tried to use night vision and this camcorder DOES NOT come with IR or night vision. It states it in the description but its not true. Also, my camcorder came with an entirely different name on it. I didn't notice until I looked back at the ad. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CAMCORDER its junk. touch screen stopped working. shutter speed is ssllloowwww for stills. and HD? HAHAHAHA...its just not worth $10.

Instructions are not clear for a novice, top of camera button shows W/T but no where in the directions does it appear. Have tried to record a video for my business and have failed serveral times ? Obviously I am doing something wrong ? Why isn't there a video to show operation, step by step which would be more helpful as a back up for the instruction guide that comes with the product ? This is a great cam for a low price, easy to Use and well made, I recommend buying the macro lens with wide angle (Seree Fhd 1080p digital camcorder night vision wide angle macro lens) I notice a big improvement clear close up pics, the night vision was excellent You can see about 10ft in front of You, this is better than some expensive cams out there, the zoom is not too far though, thats when You need more high end cams... I am very happy with this camera, I was surprised how great it was for this price and the lens was great too, 100% worth the purchase!!....the only downside is the sound that's why 4 stars-if it had a mic plugin,it does not pick up sound very well...

FHD 1080P mode only 15 fps, fixed focus lens quality is disappointing, battery life is poor, remote works intermittently. If you're set on a dedicated camcorder look elsewhere,otherwise for about the same price you can get a compact SLR such as Fuji Finepix S1800 with better video performance and a lot of other features.

Bought 8 of these cameras for work in Sept of 2016, as of December until now all of the camcorder screens have failed and will no longer turn on. At first the screens would go green or get screen "snow" . Now screens don't turn on at all.

What a nice beauty

This is my first IR night vision camera. I was surprised at the quality of picture I got in total darkness. The still camera quality while zoomed seems off but I am still getting use to the product. Great product for basic night photography and video. I bought it for a ghost hunt tour but found it worked great at my daughters night sporting events.

I needed a camera for behind soccer net to capture second angle as I video record games. When I select HD or FHD the picture is laggy like when streaming a video on a slow computer. When I select the lowest resolution it works more like a regular camera. Sound kinda sucks. I bought 2 of them. Still I don't feel ripped off the price was so friggin low. Also the zoom sucks. Slow as hell. If you want a decent videocamera it's probably better to add a couple bucks and get something from a well known manufacturer.
