It is as advertised.
It is more expensive than some cast iron, but I bought it due to its size. It is the right size to span the two burners on my Coleman camp stove. It is way higher quality than I expected. It is also thicker, and heavier, than I expected, which is perfect for my needs. It takes a long time to heat up, but holds the heat well. With minimal care, it should last a long time.

Worth the money
I loved the even cooking, cakes are fast and even. The best for frying or baking in the oven. Still finding other ways to cook in it. My son even used it on the grill. Overall a great item to have.

Amazing pan!!!!
I use my grill A LOT, and when I saw this pan I had to have it to make chicken in! I knew it was going to be large when I ordered it, but when I got it I was surprised just how large it was. I can easily put three chickens in it (and depending on size I have squeezed 4 whole chickens into this!) It evenly disburses the heat so that the chickens can roast nicely over low heat for hours without me worrying about the bottoms of the burning. I have used it on the top rack of my grill (yes, it is a LARGE grill LOL) over high heat to make an awesome crusty bread, I have used it in my conventional oven to make huge pans of corn bread and it has lived up to my expectations every time I have used it.The Cons: It is LARGE! This is also one of the pros of this pan - and the specific reason I purchased it. No lid - I would have LOVED LOVED LOVED a huge domed lid - I just wonder if anyone could have lifted it then! Storage - you really need to think about where you are going to store this pan because it is approximately the size of a half sheet cake pan. I actually ended up putting to large nails into a wall in my pantry and I hang it instead of trying to find room in my cabinets. The Pros: It is LARGE! Easily cooks 3 whole chickens with room for all that nice hot air to circulate and make them deliciously browned. It's cast iron! Built to last, this pan will be something my son and his family will want when I am gone - and it will be just as wonderful then as it is now! The best thing about cast iron is how evenly it cooks, how durable it is over high heat, and how easily it cleans up - if you are thinking about getting this pan think no more, jump in and do it! You'll love it!

I love this pan ... after a bit of work
The good...The thickness is great and this pan feels strong.Holds a ton and really gets a nice sear on all sorts of things including hash browns and vegetables.Chili Verde pork and a couple of roasting chickens cooked in the smoker are the favorites to date.Expect it to be our forever roasting pan and cook many turkeys and stuffing rounds at thanksgiving. The ok...The weight can be a bit much. Best to have a strong teenager about to carry it when full.By the time it is cleaned the weight can get a bit tiresome. Usually worth it.The seasoning at arrival is only an initial start. More will be needed. The bad...It really needed sanding when it arrived to remove casting marks. It took me about 10 minutes with a fine file to get it in great shape. Carefully felt all surfaces for rough spots and removed them.

This is a great pan ! You should buy this one !
This is a great pan! I use it on my camp stove for most everything. Will fit on most double burner stoves. Measure the width of your burners to be sure they will fit under the pan as the burner flames could go outside the pan if they are too far apart. If the burners are too far apart, buy a new stove! This is the widest high sided heavy duty cast iron pan I could find. Some people complained that the handles of the pan get hot. Really? That's why you buy cast iron. Use hot pads or gloves. A no brainer.Cook up bacon or sausage perfectly and then pour off some of the grease, add onions, bell peppers, precooked potatoes and any other you favorite additions for the best potatoes. Move potatoes to one side of the pan with the meat and turn heat off that side and fry your eggs on the other. They will stay warm with the heat off on one side. When all done just add water only and scrape with plastic spatula to clean. DO NOT use dish soap, water only ! Dry completely then wipe down with oil and your ready for the next time you use it. Be sure to store it in a dry place. Only one pan to clean !! It's so easy !! Be sure to scrub your pan when you get it with soap, green scrubbie and hot water(this time only!) then coat ALL surfaces with grease or oil then bake in over or bbq at 300'F for an hour. Repeat this process two to three times before using to season it properly before you ever put food into it!Heavy duty pan with high side and built strong. Worth every penny!

Love this huge cast iron baking pan
This cast iron pan is a monster. We only cook with cast iron pans and roast a lot of veggies, bake three-dozen enchiladas at a time, roast a 20 LB turkey and such. The pan is about 20 inches long so make sure you measure your oven before you buy to make sure it will fit. And remember, cast iron will last forever -- generations in fact. The pan is heavy but well worth it. Keep it oiled before baking and it will clean up so easy. You won't be disappointed.

I like but it won't fit oven.
I sanded mine smooth and seasoned it correctly like all my cast iron griddles only to find it won't fit in my oven. I'll see if sawing off some of the handles helps. If it doesn't I'll try using it on stove top or for campfire cooking.

Just what I needed. The largest cast iron pan I could find for my BBQ grill. Works perfect.
Great pan. Nice an large and heavy. I purchased this pan to use while camping on my BBQ grill. Now I can fry bacon, brown meats, sauté peppers an onions, etc outside on my grill not in my camper. Do not waste you money buying flat cast iron griddles for your BBQ grill like I did. They do not contain the grease and oil when frying bacon or other foods on the flat griddles. The grease spills all over my grill inside and out. It takes all most a 1/2 hour to clean my grill before I can pack it up. This is the largest cast iron pan I could find and has 3 1/2 in sides and contains all the grease and fat. When you are done just pour out the grease, wipe out the pan and it is seasoned for the next time. Just make sure it will fit on you camp or home grill.

This is a large baking dish that is very versatile
This is a big baking dish that works in the oven, on the gas or electric range, on the grill, and over a fire. I purchased it because I have a big family and it fits my needs perfectly
