it worked like expected out of the box.

These converters are and have been the backbone of the video ministry at our church...We’ve been using them for several years and I own 4 additional ones for my own production company...Only has one crap out on us but I believe that was caused by an electrical spike, but we should have surge protected it so I don’t blame the converter! I doubt I would be willing to try another brand as we have had so much success with Black Magic!

It's a prosumer product, ideal for those who need a small form factor (think mobile) but applicable to many solutions. Dis-embedding AND conversion to HDMI (with or without lookup tables) covers the basic needs to connect to pro gear. I use it with an UltraStudio Mini Monitor to get audio to an SPL amp and video to the latest LG monitors that are fast becoming reference standard for client viewing. Highly recommended.
