High Protein and Peanut Spread, Chocolate Maple Pretzel - 454 gm

This came so late in the day. these two were melted. The taste was off.

I purchased this peanut butter for my teenage daughter. She is super active and we are always looking for healthy ways to get calories into her. This peanut butter is PACKED with protein. I do believe this is one of the highest protein peanut butters I have seen. I purchased the Chocolate Maple Pretzel for her. She is not a big chocolate fan, but she does love maple, so I thought she would enjoy this. Unfortunately, she did not like the taste. She felt it was too grainy. On the other hand, I have a seven year old boy who does not like peanut butter OR chocolate, and he LOVED this. He has eaten two peanut butter sandwiches since I received it a few days ago. This will be a win for me since he is very picky! When we run out I will be purchasing this again for him. My review process is as follows: 5 stars: An excellent product and I would purchase again and recommend it to my friends and family 4 stars: Product is very good and exceeds most expectations. I would likely purchase again. 3 stars: Product is sufficient for its purposes, but you do get what you pay for 2 stars: Product was NOT sufficient for its purposes and likely is overpriced for its stated purpose 1 star: Product is NOT as described. Product does not work. Product is a COMPLETE waste of money as item cannot be used in any fashion.

This stuff is amazing. It was delivered yesterday and I suggested to the BF that we try it right away. We each sampled about a teaspoon's worth and we were both instantly smitten. It's peanut buttery, it's maple-y, it's chocolate-y and there are bits of pretzels in it so it's a little salty (though not salty in every bite). It's smooth but it's also got a great texture to it. (Ladies - PMS-ing? This is the holy grail!) We washed our spoons (I hate leaving even one dish in the sink overnight) and relaxed with a movie. When the BF got up to use the bathroom, I tip-toed into the kitchen and sampled another teaspoon's worth. I washed the spoon to hide the evidence. Later he went outside, and I ran to the kitchen to 'try' this delicious concoction once more. I may have made a fourth trip back to the jar of goodness. Maybe. The next morning I woke up and went into the utensil drawer to get a spoon (for coffee this time!) and found there were no spoons. Not normal spoons, no large spoons - no spoons at all! Apparently the BF had woken up a few times (at least 4!) and decided to eat more of this too. He has since asked me to hide this from him, which is bad because I was going to ask him to do the same for me. We are addicted to this. Send help.

These products have all been wonderful! I'm only having problem with consistency. The ones that have bits and chunks in them (chocolate, pretzels, etc) have a tendency to have some packing issues. Some have been underfilled or have air pockets that make the container have less product. The ones that are without any additional chunks, have had no problem with packing at all. I have a high protein requirement with lower sugar and these are amazing to use on things like rice cakes and a spoonful on my sugar free ice cream makes it taste much better and adds a boost of protein. I can't eat almonds, so I wish a few more flavors were available without them. But the flavors I can have are spectacular!
