A high speed journey of a lifetime 🚂💫
I am pleased to be providing a review for ‘The Train to Impossible Places’, which is one of my Top 5 books of the year and another fantastic debut & first book of a brand new series by P.G Bell.Suzy, a young girl on the cusp of young adulthood, is a curious, resourceful, caring, loyal & intelligent girl but also somewhat impulsive. She soon realises that her love for physics and puzzle solving is getting her odd looks from her classmates. One day a train (The Impossible Postal Express) runs right through into her living room and like any curious & adventurous girl would do, she jumps on the train. Along with the postal workers she joins their mission to deliver top secret packages to Impossible places, going through fantastical realms and meeting villains on the way. This is a humorous, action packed and super imaginative book full of exciting new worlds & fantastical characters. With a Dr Who and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy-esque elements, I found this fantasy adventure both entertaining and empowering.I recommend readers both young and old to jump on board on this high speed journey of a lifetime..! An absolute gorgeous 5⭐️ read...

A great fun family read that wont disappoint
Well I have never read and of this authors work before, so if like me you are hesitant, then don't be as this is a lovely fast paced fun adventure story that would be great for family reading or light bedtime enjoyment. I loved the original plot, as well as the twists and turns that kept me going to the end and did not disappoint. The story really does take you on a train ride to adventure, at a great pace, so much so I just really had to force myself to put it down to get on with my own story writing. As a writer, I like to read others works, well actually it is a must, a bit like doing homework but only nice. This book works so well - the characters are a delight and in some senses challenge the normal flow of perception. I think any open mind can have great fun reading this, no matter the age. It also has a message, like the best books do, about truth and consequences, right and wrong which even had me thinking. This isn't laboured or intrusive in any way but thought provoking if you or your younger reader are so inclined. But I wont give anything away, only to say that I did at the end of the book felt that I wanted more, and another instalment to drop through the letterbox then and there. That is a sign of a book whose job has been fulfilled.

A new favourite
This is the review of my 7 year old son:"I really liked it because it is full of action and it even inspired me to write my own story. It is one of my favourite books and I really want to read it again and again".Parents view: my son really enjoyed this book and didn't want to put it down. It is quite long so wouldn't necessarily suit all 7 year olds, but my son was delighted by it.

Review about the book!
This is a humorous, spectacular book by the most talented,PG Bell. It begins with this curious, intelligent girl called Suzy Smith who has a great passion in physics. Oddly, one day a huge train (The Impossible Postal Express, which is ran by Trolls) was right in the middle of the living room. Suzy then jumps on board and discovers herself as the new recruit! On the way Suzy witnesses unimaginative realms which were higher than anything. She was now part of the mission, which is delivering secret parcels to the most Impossible Places ever seen. Suddenly, Suzy realises she’s a long way from home... Suzy then finds that the fate of The amazing Impossible Places are now in her hands! This is a very humorous book along with a lot of action and also is very adventurous. The Impossible Places are well described and what is really clever about this book is, it’s always keeping you thinking. The main character Suzy is quite brave because she’s ready to do anything! Also this book has unexpected twists such as in a blink of an eye Suzy was left with a decision to make which could not be wrong... This book really stood out for me and I would recommend this book to young and old people to hop along on Suzy’s amazing adventurous journey!

A struggle to put down book
I read this to my 7year old son and we both really enjoyed it. It is written for older children and I found some of the language a bit complicated in places but still a thrilling read. We had to have little explanations along the way to make sure he understood all elements. But even though a little young, he found it exciting and we enjoyed talking about the characters. Would recommend.
