Neat toy, I use it to practice reloading.
This is a really awesome toy. I may be 21, but I still buy the toys I never got to enjoy as a kid. I bought this because I've been looking for a toy shotgun with loadable and ejecting shells for so long, and this is it. It's fairly well made. Cheap plastic shells, and the gun feels like it wants to break every time you operate the action, but it doesn't. Strange thing is, I see this being difficult to operate for small children. There are several little tricks with this gun you need to figure out to get it working properly. For example, when loading shells, it sometimes feels like they don't want to go in. You kinda have to wiggle them around to get them in. Also they sometimes want to spring back into the gun from the magazine, but the door blocks them, so you have to hold the shells down and move the door out of the way. Also, to avoid jams, you sort of have to be rough with the action. When chambering a shell, you have to give the pump a firm push forward. Not so violent as to break something, but definitely a nice firm push. Being delicate will most likely result in a jam. Also, when ejecting shells, it's important to give the pump a nice firm pull as well. I noticed the harder I pull, the better the shells eject. Again, nothing violent, but being gentle usually results in the shell just partially ejecting. In all, it's a really neat toy. But I definitely see it being broken easily, mainly if it's jammed and you try to use the action to clear it. I find it's best that if the shell gets jam mid action, push all the way up on the loading door, and it usually pushes the shell up into the chamber so you can eject it. But it's definitely a toy I would teach kids to use first, because it's a little tricky to use. If you're wondering why a 21 year old bought this toy, it's because my uncle gave me a shotgun years ago, and now I want to learn to shoot it. So I bought this toy to safely practice loading and operating the action, since this is pretty close in operation to my real shotgun, the only difference is the real thing has a slide lock. I'd rather break this than ruin something in my real shotgun. All in all, pretty cool toy.

Very realistic and durable
I purchased a second gun for my son after the ejection mechanism broke after 4 years of very heavy use. No fault with the gun, it is very durable and well made. It just eventually wore out. My son's thoughts on this gun are, "This thing is awesome! It works really realistically, and the sounds are super cool. It is just like the real thing. It feels very durable and it lasts a long time. The shell ejection is very reliable, and it looks very realistic! I totally recommend it!"

The pump action is great
This gun isn't made of the sturdiest plastic BUT it is absolutely fun. My son loves how the bullets kick out like a real gun. The sound is realistic without being TOO REALISTIC. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

Nothing says love like a shotgun
Grandchildren absolutely love this product. Five year old loves the sound it makes, and two year old could watch the shells discharge all day long. Looks like the real thing and worth every dime to see them have so much fun together. Only draw back, works better with two shells, don’t try to load all three. Gets jammed. Put one away for when they loose one.

Big "wow factor" but that's about it.
I bought 2 of these for my boys, 5 and 8, for Christmas last year. They look great and the wow factor was a big hit with these. They make the realistic sounds when you shoot and when you chamber a shell. Right there is where the wow factor stops though. The last few weeks I'm constantly having both of them brought to me with shells stuck inside both guns. The stock is very loose on one of them and won't stay all the way forward. Overall I guess I'd say for $20 I got my money's worth but for the constant hassle from my two boys I probably would not buy these again.

Great toy to learn
Gave this on Christmas to my 2 year old great nephew. He hasn’t put it down yet takes it everywhere with him. They bullets bullets up for now, but when he is little older will be a great teaching technique to learn proper use of a shot gun.

Great costume prop. The sound effects aren't that loud, but a nice touch. The bullets jam a littler unless you put them in perfectly, and because they spring out, expect to loose them (but still a good effect). Unfortunately, someone did sit on it and ended up snapping the plastic. Don't expect long use and to stand up to wear and tear from this toy.
