This picardie set looks more expensive than it is and excellent value for money. It's such a lovely design and went well with my other white and gold china. The only downside with gold china is that you cannot put them in the dishwasher, but it is no problem to wash them up as it is not like they are going to be used every day.It’s the same glass James Bond was drinking from in Skyfall movie.

Duralex's "picardie" range is great, there's nothing wrong with the glasses themselves. However, the larger size I bought is being sold as 16.9 fluid ounces, or 500 ml. Ignoring that 16.9oz is about 480ml and not 500, the real issue is that if you fill these glasses up normally (i.e. just below the brim) they hold about 425ml.Do NOT buy these "500ml" glasses expecting to be able to pour a 500ml bottle of beer into them, you can't.

They just arrived. None were chipped or broken so I secretly washed and stored them away hoping for at least a day before I was questioned about them. But it was not to be. They were quickly discovered and I was questioned. I explained that they were the number one reviewed glass on Wirecutter and that they were made of tempered glass so they were stronger than normal glass and shouldn't dangerously splinter if they break. They stack and are easy to hold. I don't see what the issue is. The gatekeeper shrugged and explained that this was not my purview. But she didn't tell me to pack them up and return them so I think I am good.

Don't get me wrong the glass itself is ok but on the picture it looks like you are getting six glasses (bargain) when I only received one (not a bargain). Be careful when ordering.

As a child, drinking water from a sturdy little glass at school lunch, the name on the bottom of the glass could be read when one looked inside.Forty years later, in a little bar in a remote French village, the same name, in the bottom of the same glass.Twenty years later, when the last of the cheap tumblers finally broke, there was never any question, which glasses to buy.I was just waiting for that glass to break, so I could buy the correct ones.They will probably outlast me.

I was thrilled to get a design icon for such a bargain price. These are beautiful little glasses, tough enough that I'm pretty sure they'll outlive me! They are perfect for a Cortado. They don't hold heat for long but that's not very important when they're this small and the drink won't last long anyway. The castings aren't perfect (if you check under a light there are minor imperfections) but this isn't crystal glassware - these are bombproof icons of French design that you'll have forever, and are stunningly low-cost.Cannot recommend these enough!
