Most probably the unit us defective for that reason I have returned it. It says tide lid closure but one side of the was always half cm above.

I baught this 7qt DO thinking I may use it for when I am making a turkey or duck. But instead I am using it for my sourdough bread baking. It is a perfect size for a big loaf.

Works well

Great heat distribution. Let it cool after use and it’s easy to clean. I also have the 3 quart and 5 quart. One of these is always sitting on a burner on my stove. I braise lamb shanks, pork shoulder and other tougher cuts of meat. Best pot ever for stews, soups and baking beans and mixed vegetables. Great for cooking pasta. Love all of my Lodge products.
