This is a great laptop for what it's supposed to be for
A lot of people on here are doing too much powerful type of stuff at home with it, the point of this though is its portability and beautiful screen quality + resolution. On the go this is the best laptop out there for the price. Super lightweight + long battery life + great screen and brightness. Its perfect for $~600.

Bad start, now good
This computer is working beautifully after a bad startup. It started out asking me if I wanted to downloading windows 11. I said yes. Why didn’t it come already loaded? I plugged in for a few hours, but there was no charge. It didn’t charge at all. I looked on the internet for a solution and it said to go to updates. I saw that they were not completed. Error code 0x80070032. I forced the updates. There were lots of Intel updates. Why? It’s the newest i7. Now that it’s all set it works like a charm. I’m very happy with the speed and the screen. * I write reviews to let you know how this product was for me, and to aid you in your decision to buy or not buy.

Computer came with defective hardware that had to be removed.
I purchased this computer from Amazon in May 2022. After a few problems with the screen and the charging port, I returned to Acer to be fixed in January. When I had the same problems in March and the computer died, I returned it again to Acer, only to have the computer returned with a note that there was 3rd party defective hardware in the computer and they had to factory reset my computer with their own factory installed hardware which was much less memory than I purchased it for on Amazon. Upon further clarification, I was told it was actually sold through Amazon by a 3rd party - ProElectroInc., which I had not realized when purchasing (I assumed it was through Amazon - I have since learned my lesson). Nobody from ProElectro will return my messages, Acer is saying they are not liable because it was sold by 3rd party, and Amazon will not help me either due to 3rd party seller. So I have a now have a factory reset computer still within my year warranty, with a lower ram/storage than what I paid for, and my documents all on a defective piece of hardware taped to the top of my laptop which I can't access without paying someone out of pocket to retrieve my documents. It looks like ProElectro should be the one to assist in this matter but they will not contact me back and their Amazon seller site just points me back to Amazon, and then Amazon just points back to ProElectro ... a round robin situation where nobody is claiming responsibility or helping fix the solution of the defective hardware. A very frustrating 4 months!

Didn't last long and hard to fix
I barely used this laptop since I bought it 14 months ago. I started a class online and used it almost daily for a couple months and then it suddenly stopped turning on or charging. I've taken it to 2 different tech companies, a local one, and Geek Squad. The first guy said the charger was working but he couldn't figure out why the laptop wouldn't charge or turn on and looked for a replacement motherboard but couldn't find an exact match. Next I took it to Geek Squad and they said the charger wasn't producing enough wattage and suggested a new charger but Best Buy doesn't carry their chargers. I looked online for an hour and couldn't find an exact match so I ordered one that looked close and had the same volts and watts. It fit but didn't do anything so I'm assuming it has to be the exact charger because GS said they were very proprietary. Next I looked on the manufacturer website but it was still hard to find for some reason!!! I found it but it's costing me $40!! For a charger!! And I still don't know if that's gonna work. Since I'm just past a year, I can't get support from Acer but they directed me to "community support" which upon looking into, doesn't look like they supply much support at all. This is the first and last Acer I will ever waste money on! When it worked, I liked it - except for the mirror-like glare and the fact that I couldn't find a screen protector that fits the very particular sized screen. I honestly just want my money back so I can get another Dell or make the switch to Apple.
