I have two Yaesu FT-8900 radios that I purchased back in 2006. After close to 20 years of hard mobile use the mic cords on both radios were rotting at both ends. I replaced both cords with the Pasow replacement cables and they are back in business. Installation took less than five minutes for each radio and I was good to go. Solid connectors at both ends of the cord and the coiled cable is just a bit thicker and seems at least as good as the original cables. Time will tell of course but the price is right and they work perfectly with no sign of RF feedback or any other indication of quality issues. I would recommend these without any hesitation.

I wasn't expecting this product to be available. The whole microphone and coil cord is available for purchase for just a few more dollars than the cord itself. I chose this cord and and found it very to replace and it works fine, but since my microphone has many radio control functions, I have not yet confirmed each and every function works. The original cord fell apart due to the 10 years of baking Texas heat.

Needed to replace mine...this worked just fine. I checked the pinout wiring and it was same as original. Easy to replace. Cheap enough...I got a second as a spare since I run three of these radios.

After many years of use the mic cord for my FT-100d failed as the rig has been discontinued for more than 20 years I was afraid i wouldn't be able to find a replacement. This cable is a perfect replacement. It was an exact fit and I couldn't tell the difference between it and an OEM part. Replacing the cable was simple taking about 10 minutes. This is a great value costing much less than buying a new mic.

I ordered this cable to replace the original cable on my Yaesu MH-48 microphone. The install was pretty easy. It appears to be of good quality. As others have noted, the cable is a bit stiffer than the OEM cable, which might just be because the original is about 20 years old! The only reason for knocking off one star is because the tab on the modular plug was sitting much too flat to actually clip in and secure the cable to my FT-8800. I had to use a flat blade screwdriver to get it to clip in properly. Knowing that the clips on modular plugs can be easily broken, I was a bit worried it would snap off, but it appears to have survived the required tweak. Put it this way: It appears well worth the less than $8 I spent to repair the microphone. Much more economical than replacing the entire microphone.

The jacket on the MH-48 microphone cord for my Yaesu FT-8900 started to split causing the multi-conductor wires to be exposed. Not wanting to take the chance of the wires rubbing through the connectors, I decided to finally search for a replacement. The microphone itself functions normally, so I searched for just the cord and found this replacement. This microphone cord arrived very quickly and it only took a few minutes to open the mic housing and replace the cord. The only difference I could see between the original cord and this one is the length of the wires between the rubber grommet and the connector. The wires are quite a bit longer than the original, but there is enough space inside the mic housing to accomodate the extra wiring by simply folding the wires over. Plugged the mic into the radio and it works perfectly. This product is a great option for those that only need to replace the microphone cord.

Installed in minutes, correct pin out, works great. I seems a tad longer that the original which is good!

I you have an old Royal scale and the connection wire is falling apart this 6 wire will work to the 4 wire connector.
