Built to last
I recently purchased this mailbox and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The first thing I noticed was its sturdy construction—this mailbox is very heavy and built to last, which gives me peace of mind knowing it can withstand the elements and any potential rough handling. The design is both attractive and functional, fitting perfectly with the aesthetic of my home while providing ample space for my mail and packages. Installation was straightforward, and the quality of the materials used is evident from the moment you take it out of the box. I appreciate the extra security features that come with it, ensuring that my mail is safe and sound. Overall, I highly recommend this mailbox to anyone looking for a durable and stylish option that will hold up over time. It's definitely worth the investment!lbox and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Built like a tank, easy to install, looks great.
Built like a tank, easy to install, looks great. I especially appreciated the Fast-Trak mounting plate. I replaced the mounting board as the original was badly weathered and beginning to come apart due to dry rot. I used an 8ft 2x10 of pressure treated lumber. Sawed it in half and used quality wood glue and deck screws to stack them together. I then applied a wood sealant to in and finally painted it barn red and mounted it with black carriage bolts. I also spray painted the pole with Rust-Oleum. The mailbox mounting was dead nuts simple, the metal is heavy gauge steel, the lock is tight and secure. I initially balked at the more than $100 price, but after working with it and seeing how well it's built... WELL WORTH IT. This mailbox and mounting should outlast me.

Heavy duty, easy to install. Nice looking
So far it’s great. Easy install with the base plate. Didn’t need to screw the plate to the wood post just removed the bolts, placed the base, used bolts to attach the plate, slid the box on and attached two screws. We did cement in the post due to the cold and wind. Looks very nice.

A reasonable security mailbox at a reasonable price
The TL;DR: A reasonably solid security mailbox with matching accessories that can be installed in an afternoon. You may find yourself researching alternative lock cylinders due to the key design and key-retaining lock cylinder. THE GOOD (positives): • The box has a satisfyingly minimal profile • Reasonably heavy gauge material while not being unwieldy to install • Lock appears to be far more pick resistant than a typical wafer-tumbler (or in some uses, erroneously called a disc-tumbler) cylinder • Reasonably clear instructions • The mounting plate is a nice touch: no trying to work a ratchet within the confines of the mailbox to mount it to a post or rail - mount the plate then slot the box onto it which also means no penetrations on the bottom for water to seep through THE BAD (quibbles): • The powder coat finish isn't as thick as I would expect • Said powder coat finish is a veritable dust magnet • The back of the unit does not appear to be sealed and the powder coat finish doesn't close the gap; however the standoffs on the floor and the included tray will likely minimize any rain intrusion moistening contents • Key insertion with a new unit can be a tad iffy THE UGLY (faults): • I very much doubt that the box is capable of accepting a typical 3.5" high package unless it is as short as the exemplar "box of checks" in the description . With the door/baffle open to something approaching optimal clearance looks to be perhaps 2" for a long package. • The keys are unreasonably thick to the point they don't fit gracefully on my keyring, the slot isn't of sufficient diameter to allow for full rotation on a thicker split-ring keyring, and the lock retains the key when unlocked (which can be a problem with the next point) • The included mail tray won't remove without opening the receiving slot, presenting a challenge since the lock cylinder is retaining your keyring. One can drop the door with your key - and the contents of any keyring it's attached to dangling - open the receiving slot while holding the access door, or lock the door open to remove the key. Due to the issues with the key and retaining cylinder, I'm hoping that I can locate a standard high-security cylinder lock with the correct profile, height, and accepts the OEM pawl.

6 years on a salted wet highway and on its third PTW post and still in great condition
I bought mine in 2018. I mounted it on a pressure-treated 4x4, which was mounted to galvanized 3-foot metal spike with a mounting bracket at the bottom. The box is on a New England suburban street, which is salted and sanded all winter. I am on my THIRD 4x4 due to the salt and sand and water pooling and splashing from the road, and the mailbox is still in perfect condition, dry inside regardless of water and wind, and the lock still works with no more than a very occasional spray of lubricant. I originally thought the inner tray should be made of something else, but it is as sturdy as the rest of the mailbox, so no complaints. I just made a second order of spare keys for a relative, and I placed the order yesterday and the keys have already been shipped. There is nothing I would change about this sturdy mailbox. If you even think you might need a larger size, then just get a larger size. This manufacturer makes a great mailbox at a fair price that keeps people working.
