This was a big hit my nephews absolutely loved it. The 8yr old is into dinosaurs and Godzilla and loves to play chess. The only thing that would’ve been better was a set with the Godzilla character. But the dinosaurs were a great 2nd option. I was pleased with the quality of the product it definitely did not disappoint.

Each piece, from the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex King and the formidable Spinosaurus Queen to the strategic Velociraptor Knights and towering Brachiosaur Rooks, is beautifully detailed and crafted from durable, molded plastic that looks impressive. I noticed that the King's height wasn't listed in the product description, which is unusual for chess sets, so I have provided it here. I've also highlighted the Rook's height since it is taller than the King, adding a unique twist to the traditional game pieces. As someone passionate about dinosaurs and chess, I find this set perfect for my interests. It's an excellent gift for anyone fascinated by dinosaurs, as a creative way to spark their interest in chess. My grandson absolutely loved this chest set! We played a game as soon as he opened it. It was easy to distinguish which each piece was because the name is printed on the back.We had a great game!!! In the end I relinquished and laid down my king.

Got the Jurassic chess set for my 11 y/o and he LOVES it!! Admittedly I was concerned about the quality and craftsmanship of the pieces specifically, especially with the price. I was worried they would arrive broken, cracked or soon to be shortly after opening. However I am actually quite impressed with the packaging and the chess pieces themselves! Not rigid, hollow or cheap so that they crack easily. There are a couple (2) pieces that a head or foot is angled slightly more than their partner or opposing piece but find the differences make them more unique. It’s modeled plastic but the pawns are more pliable thankfully so no worries of the beeks or wings breaking. Of course there are slight mold “defects” but that is to be expected and nothing too dramatic that takes from the fun of playing chess with dinosaurs! My son has zero complaints, thinks it’s awesome! Im so happy I took a chance with this set, it’s adorable and so much fun to have the different characters. I’d recommend this chess set for any Jurassic or chess lovers.
