Next day delivery, Dakimakura fluffs out fine, you can pack more polyester into the pillow to bulk it up more if you wish, it seems fine out of the packaging though to be honest, haven't seen any flaws with the outer layer as of yet seems strong enough and is very smooth, but time will tell.

UPDATE: I purchased the inner pillow from Dakimakuri and have found that even with the price being greater than that of this COMODO pillow, I prefer the Dakimakuri inner. Dakimakuri pillows have a much nicer combination of firm and fluffy when compared to that of COMODO. (E.G., 50% Firm and 50% Fluffy on Dakimakuri vs 80% Firm and 20% Fluffy on this COMODO) This is still a good choice if it's your first time purchasing a body pillow, you're cautious of price, or you want the instant gratification of receiving your pillow in just two days through amazon prime. However, I still wholly appreciate and prefer the Dakimakuri pillow because it not only fluffs up nicely against me when I hug it, but also allows me to sink into the fabric and stuffing when I lay on top of it, and these are the two positions I find myself always falling asleep in. I highly recommend the Dakimakuri body pillow more if you're willing to pay the difference in cost and don't mind waiting a while for it to arrive. <------------ ORIGINAL REVIEW ------------> I really like how this pillow can be purchased for only a fraction of the price of other high-end body pillows crafted in Japan. Some of them can get to be over $100 for the cost of shipping alone, so this is great. This pillow fluffs up and expands really well if you pull it out of packaging when you get it and give it a few punches evenly along every side. The dimensions are a good and genuine 150x50cm, and it'll fit any body pillow cover of that size. Another huge positive of this pillow is that it ships from California, so if you live in the U.S. and have Amazon Prime, then you'll get this in just two days compared to the normal month that you'd have to wait if ordering straight from Japan. It's nice and firm so I can hug it when sleeping, put it by my back when laying on my side, or put my neck on it while reading to maintain good posture. All around great pillow. I can recommend it.

I kinda made fun of people in the past for having an anime pillow, but after watching some videos and reading up on it a bit, i thought - "that actually sounds pretty comfortable". Little did I know that I would soon have my own pillow, and several nice pillowcases for it! Zero regrets. There's a lot of different pillows out there, some cheap, some (like this one) not-so-cheap. OR you can go the route of buying a specialty pillow from a dakimakura site. Nah. This one is great, stays firm, nice n comfy. It's a hundred bucks, which for the size and comfort it's given me seems reasonable. It feels GREAT to sleep with, curled up with, wrapped around, under my head, under my feet, whatever. I let my body tell me where it wants me to put it, and that's where it goes. Then, when it's time to cuddle with my anime honey - it's allllll good. I understand now. The weebs were right. I was a fool to judge them, and I owe them a heartfelt apology. No regrets.

I was looking for a replacement pillow for my Anime (dakimakura) style pillowcase. I settled on this after finding the 150cm variety Out of Stock on a specialty retailer, and decided to try my luck with this Prime-delivered option, since it is from a Japanese supplier. Many reviews point out the lack of stuffing, which made me wary of it, but it was the best option I could find for the price-point. Those reviewers have no idea what they are talking about. Yes, this pillow is vacuum-sealed for shipment, and VERY compressed when it arrives. After breaking the seal, the pillow DID NOT puff up on its own. It was necessary for me to grab the pillow and manually fluff out the stuffing, to increase its volume. I suspect many of the poor reviews are from people who did not perform this MANUAL step, expecting the pillow to fluff on its own. After manually fluffing it, I allowed it to rest for several hours, and as you can see in the photos, it filled the pillow case very tightly, with room to spare. It is not too firm, but it is tight and properly fills my standard (150x50cm) pillowcase. I strongly recommend adding a second inner pillowcase as a liner, to protect the pillow. Because the pillow is so large, I expect it will be very difficult to clean, and this extra layer will contribute to the longevity of the Inner. I couldn't be happier with this purchase, and compared to previous body pillows i've purchased from Amazon, this is certainly a cut above in terms of quality.
