Theatre Shoes

This book was purchased for the birthday of a girl who will be 10 on 19th November. Though it might seem an old-fashioned choice, I think she will appreciate and enjoy it . This book has real charm and imagination , a girly book, but lacking nothing nevertheless .

My grownup daughter is rereading this in readiness to read to her daughter.

I vaguely remember borrowing this from the library and enjoying it about fifteen years ago, after discovering Ballet Shoes. Ballet Shoes will always be my favourite, but Theatre Shoes is still lovely. Noel Streatfield was a fantastic children's author and I've never found a book of hers that I haven't liked (and they're hugely enjoyable for adults, too!)
