Behave: The Biology of Humans at Our Best and Worst

Badly written
The idea is interesting but it can be summarized in a much shorter fashion. In addition, the writing style is appalling, unscientific and so colloquial that it makes the reading experience painful.

The beauty of biology
Behave is an excellent, comprehensive and intriguing book. The breadth of his analysis is awe inspiring, ranging from brain structures, neurochemistry, behavioural psychology … you have to read it to appreciate the scope. Sapolsky presents detailed scientific information in a wonderful way as he weaves his tale of human behaviour. Be sceptical of the post-modernists and other social provocateurs: our biology plays an integral role in our behaviour. It’s not simply about nurture.

Know the machine, to drive it better!
This book consolidates decades of scientific learnings across several disciplines, all aiding to better understand how people behave while their brain-minds coevolve with their specific environment. It doesn't provide you with readymade answers but it does open up possibilities for fine-tuning understanding of human psyche. Humorous, witty, fresh, casual and yet intense in depth. Absolutely a must read.
