George Romero Presents Deadtime Stories Vol. 2

I get tired of people always putting down movies for poor reasons . Give me a break . Most horror movies won't win awards , and I don't care if they do . I love a scary , corny , gory , fun horror movie. I thought this movie hit all the marks . It's an older movie , but that doesn't make it bad . It's kind of on the same platform as "Creepshow" and movies like that .

See other reviews for content. if you enjoy films like paranormal activity, Ring-O, a haunting in connecticut (which i do not) you'll certainly like this. this is top shelf modern horror. If you accept modern horror than dont hesitate to purchase this. if you like your horror oldschool, this will still appeal to you. I tend to avoid any horror past the turn of the century.i just dont find it scarry and dont appreaciate the way its filmed; lightning editing, CGI, etc... i enjoy mostly silver age horror from the mid 70's - throught the late 80's/early 90's. ... i decided to give this a chance since its george romero and an anthology. i would describe this as modern horror done in classic fashion. both the stories and acting are much better than average. for 5 bucks this isnt a bad investment. take the plunge, you wont be dissapointed.

Unfortunately, it is just a repeat of the first volume; terrible stories with bad characters with only the gore and goofiness making it somewhat watchable.Also still is the incredibly cringeworthy in-between sections with Romero and his face on all the TV screens saying corny things. Again, no one is screaming dude. Not. A. One.There were such poor logic choices running throughout all the stories; do people really act like that? The second one, in particular, had no reason to actually happen. I don't think I understand that one at all.This was such a repeat of the first one that again the third story was the best and only semi likable entry.You're only going to get anything out of this and the first volume if you're a big horror fan and you just have to watch it all. Great gore and nothing else.

The horror genre is full of campy, dark humor and ridiculously impossible situations.This collection is no different, just a cheap, low-budget horror show. It hardly deserves such a low IMDb rating, but I'll admit...I watched it out of sheer boredom. 4/5 stars for pandemic entertainment, 3/5 in normal times.

This is very obviously low budget and they had little to work with. But it actually held together pretty well and was entertaining despite it's flaws. The only slow spot was the middle story, that never really peaked.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy. It is so much better than Volume 1. Great acting, editing and sound...a true testament to horror creativity. Of the three, I enjoyed "On Sabbath Hill" the most, followed by "Dust". George Romero has made amends for his disappointing first volume. This one was designed for mature adults...volume 1 was more for the younger set. Good job. Four stars. When is Volume 3 coming out?

I enjoyed this film immensely. It had it All to me...sex, horror, flesh-eating, gory and excitement. Just one horror rending good time!!! I can't wait to the next one. Full of adult scenes and the story plots made me think this stuff could happen...lol. For a good scary, gross time...WATCH IT!!!

There are 3 separate stories in this anthology which would be great if they were 5 or 10 minutes each. Instead they're 25 to 30 minutes each and just drag on and on. Once each story lays out the premise, you can guess exactly where they're going and they don't deviate...most of the rest just seems like useless filler.

Wirklich schlecht sind die 3 Kurzgeschichten nicht. Es gibt auch, besonders bei der Kannibalen-Story der Ersten, etwas Grusel. Blut bzw. krude Makeup-Effekte werden hier und da auch geboten, aber alle Stories machen den Fehler, der bei 90% aller Kurzgeschichten gemacht wird:Es wird viel zu wenig gesprochen. Es passiert extrem wenig.Dadurch wirken auch 20 Minuten wie 2 Stunden, weil es sich so zähflüssig und ohne nenneswerten Informationsfluß dahinschleppt.Kurzgeschichten müssten doch eigentlich auf den interessanten Kern reduziert sein und flott von statten gehen. Stattdessen ist da fast kein Inhalt und der wird auf 20 Minuten aufgeblasen mit sitzen, stehen, aus dem Fenster sehen, gerübeln, und eigentlich mit gar nichts.Habe mich bei den meisten 90-Minuten-B-Pictures weniger gelangweilt als bei diesen Kurzgeschichten.

Perfektes Geschenk für Leute die schlechte Filme lieben. Mit genügend Leuten macht es einfach nur Spaß diesen Film anzugucken, da man wirklich über alles Witze machen kann.Also wenn man diese BluRay kauft um einen Oscarwürden Horrorfilm zu sehen macht man etwas falsch aber wenn man ihn anguckt um einfach mal mit anderen Leuten über einen schlechten Film zu lachen ist es perfekt.Ob sich nun die ungefähr 5€ die man ausgibt wirklich lohnen kann ich nicht sagen für mich hat es sich aber auf jeden Fall gelohnt.
