Nearly Natural 4100 Cedar Bonsai Tree, 36-Inch, Green

Beautiful. Happy to have this bonsai on display.

Very happy with my purchase. Looks like the picture. Needs to be out of the box, and use a hair dryer to warm it up and GENTLY shape it. Mine arrived on time and in perfect shape. I'm thinking of getting another one for elsewhere in the house.

Well the size is noticeable. Looks great until you come up close (which is what everybody does when something looks interesting).You immediately then discover the trunk is hollow squishy plastic and even has a very obvious seam running down both sides. What is worst is all of the leaves are on green plastic push-on tubes and those are exposed. Its just a poor design and you aren't going to fool anyone into thinking its real, unless you stage it somewhere where they can't get very near to it. Even some brown velvet fleck such as what is sprayed on the roots might have helped if the rest of the tree had it. Also it is NOT in any way silk, it is 100% plastic, right down to the pot.Too bad I was really looking forward to this arriving :/Update 5-15-16--------------------------------------I want to share a trick I learned that turned this into a save. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought Scene-A-Rama Scenic Spray Glue- its in the model train aisle. I sprayed the bark with this, and then sprinkled turf powder over the trunk (I used Fine Turf-Earth T42 by Woodland Scenics). There are bags of it also in the model train aisle there, but you can find it at any hobby shop I'm sure. Then you spray over that again to seal it.Cost all of about $7 dollars in total.The appearance is that of mold on the tree. However, with some work- it takes a bit but not too hard- you can hide the seams and plasticy look and make the tree look a lot more realistic. I then sprayed around the green tubes all up where the leaves are and sprinkled more on. It really mutes the plastic tubes and makes a huge difference. You have to use your discretion but I'm no artist, and IMO it looks 100% less like a plastic plant- worth a shot to be sure!

First off - I rate the quality of this bonsai tree at 4 stars - it would have earned a 5 except the greenery is shiny, lending to a very plastic look. Matte greenery would have really helped here. As well, the branches and trunk are also shiny and obviously plastic when viewed from up close. The roots, however, are very realistic and in a matte finish. I'm not sure why the manufacturer couldn't have used this method throughout the tree. From a distance though, it is a nice faux bonsai and the planter it sits in is good quality.Now the bad news - I ordered and had to return/re-order this item because it arrived with a large branch broken off. Well, the second tree arrived today and again, a large branch was broken off. I have no desire to order a third tree. The problem is that there is no packing material inside the box to protect any part of the branches/greenery. Since this item is in a planter, it should have packing material all the way around the greenery to keep it centered and protect the branches. Nearly Naturals ships it in a high quality box but what's the point of that if you don't add ANY packing material inside, leaving the tree to flop about during shipping. I have alerted Amazon of this issue and have asked that they consider opening, inspecting and adding packing material to the manufacturers box (this is not an Amazon packed item, it arrives in a Nearly Naturals box) - or call Nearly Naturals and tell them to do it. Hopefully this helps to prevent someone else from receiving a damaged item(s).

This is the biggest Bonsai that I could find. Excellent shape and equally good delivery.

This bonsai was a perfect fit for my new Buddha garden, and with a backlight for dramatic effect, casts a terrific light. I buried the tree in the ground, but because of the foam base, had to anchor it to keep it from floating out of the ground. Lava rocks on top add to the natural effect of the tree growing in the ground. How you use and place these trees is essential to their success in decorating.

Absolutely beautiful. I have read reviews where some of the branches were broken due to shipping but mine arrived in good condition. One thing though: You might have to flex some of the leaves and branches back into place as mine were a little squished during shipping. All in all a great buy!

Excellent looking artificial banzai tree. looks great next to my sauna. definitely recommend.
