This works very well. We have large iron particles that come directly from our well and although we have full filtration for the home our outside water directly from the pump house is not filtered and was clogging all the screens for our automatic watering system for the garden. Installed this and it has completely eliminated particles from getting to the auto watering system. With the amount of particulates we get, it does need to be cleaned weekly

Clear housing would not seal to the body of the filter, sealing ring had to be fitted into place and seated flat by pressing it down flat into place all the way around or it would leak.

The 1/2" Female NPT In-Line Strainer is exactly what I needed to add a filter to my HVAC drain line. It’s well-made, easy to install, and does a great job of catching debris before it can clog the line. Since using it, I’ve had fewer issues with blockages and water drainage. This is a very good filter. I use it on the output of a 1,000 gallon rainwater tank to screen out any leaf trash that may have gotten in the water. I don’t want anything that might plug drip irrigation or put wear on the pump. These is very easy to take apart and clean and can see when it’s getting dirty with the clear outside. Great filter.

The female threads are NOT cut to a pipe taper. I have used many wraps of Teflon tape and blue pipe dope and eventually the filter leaks. Nice idea, poor execution.

looks like a well made filter. Easy install and flush. I installed this as my filter to my irrigation system that comes from a well. My old filter was a pain to clean. Only had this for about a week so we will see. My system gets a lot of sediment so I am hoping this new filter stands up to it.

Connected to an oil pump to filter new oil it did not leak, neither restricted flow. Did about 700 litres no problem.. Bought another for water filter..

Used this to filter water before it got to my micro watering system.
