Can you wash knifes & folks in it ?

Please avoid to put any sharp things touch with the collapsed body and normally it used for washing dishes/cloth with water temperate below 40 °C

I’m looking to purchase as a sink replacement while kitchen is renovated - as I will be washing up on a makeshift work top can’t leak - u recommend?

Yes, I think you will find this a good temporary replacement. Then when your kitchen is complete it will collapse and sit in the sink for smaller washes. Saves water and power.

what is the diamentions of the base when opened

The base measures 23 cm when opened. Really pleased with this product.

Can you fit a drain pipe to the outlet. I want to be able to drain the waste water into a grey water container.

The diameter of the draining holes at the bottom is about 3.9cm.
