Bottle arrived broken inside bubble wrap but it’s the best tasting mustard
This is my favorite mustard and I always order this brand. Sadly it arrived broken- the mustard bottle was wrapped in bubble wrap but had mustard all over. Once I opened it I saw a huge crack and when I pulled the lid off a 1 inch chunk of the bottle came off. Luckily Amazon refunded me, this might have been the fault of delivery driver because it was wrapped well. This is the best mustard, it’s not a plastic bottle so vulnerable to breaking. I’m just glad I got refunded as I wasn’t going to risk ceramic shards in my food.

This is what mustard is supposed to taste like.
The jar is very poorly designed and difficult to open, but the mustard inside is absolutely wonderful. Definitely the best mustard I've ever tried. I'm not even a real mustard fanatic. I just love this mustard. Put it on cold cuts. Mix it into salad dressings. Use it on sandwiches. It's excellent, eye-opening mustard. The texture is astonishing, the flavor is bright and sharp and fine, and it brings out the flavor of whatever it is eaten with. Especially great on roast beef sandwiches, and you may well find it indispensable with pork or ham.I don't know if I'll be able to order it from Amazon, though; they sent me the wrong variety by mistake (a super-hot "Fireman" variety with hot-pepper juice in it) and it'd leaked in transit because it wasn't protected in shipping. They were super-cool about the mistake and made things right by me as a customer, but that doesn't make me trust them enough to order it again--opening the shipping box made me realize that there's a reason mustard gas is considered so bad! But if you see this mustard, definitely try it.

Leaking jar isn't returnable/replaceable?
This is GREAT mustard. That said, it was leaking out of the pottery jar when it arrived; didn't even try to undo the mustardy wrappings. When I went to return/replace option, got message that this isn't returnable. So I just lose $13 & change, tough luck?

Wonderful
This is my all-time favorite mustard. Most mustards are pastes with seeds removed. Most stone-ground mustards are still pastes, with broken seeds or seed fragments still in the mix. This mustard is not a paste; it is more of a slurry of nearly-whole seeds, cracked to release their flavor, blended with vinegar and spices. The flavor is not "hot", but it is striking. Most mustards are used to add a little flavor (to a sandwich or whatever) and otherwise basically disappear. Pommery whole-grain mustard becomes a FEATURE of whatever it is added to. Personally, I don't do hot dogs / burgers / sandwiches anymore, but I use Pommery mustard frequently as a prominent element of pan sauces and dressings. Delicious. I sometimes run out before re-ordering, but I am rarely without an open crock of Pommery in my refrigerator.

Superb flavor.
I am not a mustard fan. I regard yellow mustard, of the French's or Plochman's variety, or the Dijons, or the Gulden's Spicy Brown variety as merely a compilation of necessary evils. However, this "Moutarde de Meaux" is different, very different. It's more like a food than a condiment. I could literally eat it with a spoon, and I have. That's how I tasted my new arrival. I had bought this one back in the '80s, when I was majoring in English and French in college, and I loved it. My contemporary retaste was not only not disappointing, it was especially pleasing. Anything else might give mustard a bad name; this will not. It is more delicious than French wine, unless you're holding back on me about something special? This condiment alone, profound accomplishment that it is, constitutes an entirely sufficient justification for the totality of Western civilization. Mere de Douleurs! It's great stuff! Love it!

Awesome Mustard, Might be Messy
This mustard is insanely good. I bought it for a mustard beef stew I made, and it proved imperative in giving the stew its distinct flavour. The only problem I had was that some of the juices leaked from the gasket. As others have mentioned, it is difficult to open. That being said it is a new go to for me, so I'll find a tool to use when my boyfriend isn't around.

Tasty Mustard
Mustard is good - just be aware, jar is about 2/3 full.

Leaky and stinky
My package arrived with the little crock sitting in a pool of mustard juice. The seal leaked everywhere and I had to chuck the item. Disappointing because this mustard is delicious!
