I always order these from another website in November or so, but waited too long last year (2021,) so had to search around. Amazon's quality was fine, but the price was rather high. Any marzipan product is very popular around the holidays, so it's really best to order in October or early November to ensure its availability.

I am very disappointed. The chocolate tasted old and arrived dried out. Nothing like what the website described. I regret my purchase. It was a complete waste of money.

I opened this up before I did anything else the day it arrived. I LOVE cherries and marzipan is my all-time favorite! Sounds like a treat custom made for me.It was an enormous disappointment! The chocolate had the consistency of old wax, the cherry “gel” tasted only of sugar with only a slight hint of cherry and the marzipan!The marzipan felt like sand in my mouth and they seemed to have found a way to reduce marzipan to dry “cake” that tasted like……well, it tasted of NOTHING!For the price of that tiny box with five foil-wrapped pieces, I expected something better. Something far better than what I received.Pass this by unless you want an expensive little box of candy that has unpleasant textures and NO taste of cherry OR marzipan!

The marzipan itself is not particularly good. It felt a bit 'crumbly' when eating it, not a solid marzipan paste. I mostly taste the cherry, nothing else. The chocolate is covered with the white film you get when it has been exposed to cold. Perhaps that affected the taste of the chocolate itself, which was pretty much none. The images on Amazon show the back of the box's Nutrition label, but that image does NOT include the warning that this product is unlawful to sell to persons under 21, because it does contain Black Forest Kirsch, which is alcohol. You don't really taste that much, either, but it seems to me that a warning like that should be given more prominently.

I just opened this box and unwrapped one of these candies. This was very disappointing. The chocolate had white areas on it, making it look old and not fresh. When I bit into it, it was totally dry and crumbling. It just was very stale. I would avoid buying this product, whatever is left I am throwing out.
