Fantastic way to supplement language arts learning.
It is where it all begins.. what you do with it is up to your imagination as a parent, how do you suggest your child to use it.You can simply ask them to construct sentences or you can go way beyond and above that. This can be random game of matching words starting with the same letter, it can be findingwords that rhyme, or have the same number of syllables. You can improve their spelling and building different sentences from words ofthe sentence or sentences they start with.Truly opportunities for learning are endless!I love the set fort he sturdiness and simplicity. It is not complicated and that is why it can be used in so many different ways.Easy to clean by throwing back into the box for the next time. One of the best tools to help a child to learn to read, spell, and write because this is where it all really leads.. great writing skills.

DK Games: Silly Sentences
My elementary kids loved using the silly sentences. It kept them engaged in their speech session.

Great game for Kindergarteners
My kid has this game in her classroom. i wanted her to have more practice outside of class. It's a fun learning game. I wish there were a few more word options. I'm sure they keep it simple for beginning learners. But I find my kid wanting to add words. So we write them on paper and add them to the sentence line. But each piece is a puzzle piece connection, making the scrap paper additions look sloppy. So it would be nice if there were blank puzzle pieces that they could write in dry erase marker to make up their own words. The game has a big selection of nouns, but needs more adjectives, verbs and adverbs. And blank puzzle pieces that can be inserted for learners custom words.

OVERALL A GREAT EDUCATIONAL GAME
I really like this game. We bought it to add to our educational game collection. We like to have a game day every Friday as part of our homeschool. This is a great game for reinforcing parts of speech and helping kids learn to create stories. My only constructive feedback is that there is one piece labeled “hero” with a picture of a sub sandwich. Although I’m familiar with what a hero sandwich is, I don’t think it’s relevant for the average 4-7 year old. I think it would have been better to put the word “sandwich” or replace the picture of the sandwich with a superhero. I’m just going to print out the word sandwich and tape it to the card. Otherwise this is a great game!

Sneaky Learning
I love games like these where kids are having fun and don't know they're learning. My 5 year old loves laughing over sentences he comes up with, and it's opened the door to talk about parts of speech and to work on reading short sentences. I like that the pieces won't fit unless the sentence makes sense grammatically, and I was impressed that there are so many words included. We've never run out of words to make more sentences. It's been a big hit and a nice addition to homeschool stations.

Great for Kindergarten Students
I first saw this while staying in a vacation rental home. We were a group of women (mostly grandmas) traveling on a Girl’s Trip. When we saw how neat this game was, we all ordered one for our grandchildren! As a retired early childhood teacher, I give this 5 stars!

Not enough variety
As some other reviewers have said, the idea of the game is great, but the lack of variety in the parts of speech other than nouns is disappointing. The choice of the nouns themselves is underwhelming. For example, Instead of “fish” they could have said “shark.”There could have been so many more verbs, adjectives, prepositions, and types of punctuation! (No exclamation points or question marks. Just a ton of periods.)The pieces don’t really stay together like a puzzle, but well enough to ensure the correct part of speech. For context, we are a homeschool family with a 5yo, 7yo, and 9yo who just finished learning all the types of sentences and parts of speech from “The Sentence Family,” and this definitely isn’t going to be a comprehensive review for all of that. I think we’ll still have some fun with it, though, especially since one of the verb choices is “ate.” (First silly sentence we did: The ball ate a mouse. 😳)

This game is fun!
I was surprised at how heavy this box was! This game came with so many pieces. I purchased this to use in my son's homeschool, (he's 6, 2nd grade), and it did not disappoint! It was a fun learning experience with lots of laughs! Definitely a new favorite! I liked how the puzzle pieces together, too. You can't place a verb with another verb, and so on. It makes constructing sentences very easy and comprehensive. I highly recommend.
