Lane Home Furnishings Hi Leg Recliner

It lasted less than a year. There are two black metal brackets under the chair, one on each side that supports the lever design, which literally broke at six pivot points. I’ve repaired this chair about five times as each bracket snapped at different places. Very cheap pot metal from you-know-where. Amazon would sensor the review if I named the country.Update on chair #2: First bolt broke today. This time the stress was on the nut. That is, the nut and head were being ‘pulled’ rather than sheared. Snapped in half and almost sent me against the wall. Cheap stuff from you know where.

Honestly, I was not impressed with this chair and returned it. Although I don't think it was misrepresented on the site, when it arrived, the fabric looked smeared. The black threads looked blurry -- like they had been smudged into the white sections. This may have been then intent of the weavers that created the fabric, but I didn't like it. Also, the whole chair smelled like chemicals. When I was in the full recline position, the footrest was short and it hit mid ankle on me. It was not comfortable. Also, reclining the chair was not a smooth operation. There's not a handle to help you recline -- which is fine. Not all recliners have a handle, but the mechanical components didn't operate smoothly. All in all, I was disappointed. I was really hoping to enjoy the chair. It was Made in the USA, and that's the one thing I was specifically looking for. Overall, it's difficult for me to make this type of purchase online. Think I do better in a store -- seeing, feeling and trying it out -- prior to purchasing. Oh well, better luck next time.

I am really pleased with the recliner. It is just as pictured, and Amazon's price beat a competitor. The delivery was great - two fellows brought the carton right to the front door. They were very courteous. Amazon offered the chair in a color that I wanted but was not available through another vendor, so that was also a plus. While furniture shopping online can certainly be "hit or miss" without being able to see the item in person and check it out to be sure it's the exact size and with the features you want, this was a good experience. And the chair design doesn't scream "recliner!" Hoping since Lane is a known name in creating quality furniture that the recliner will be durable and last awhile.

We purchased this chair because it's a Lane and we have 2 Lane recliners that are 20+ years old. I waited patiently for 2 weeks for it to be delivered and it lasted all of 3 weeks before it broke. My husband went to recline and the back popped off? Really Lane? The colors are pretty, it's very comfortable but it is poorly made and basically junk. Do yourself a favor and listen to these reviews.

I've had this chair less than one year and the seat is already shot. Can't say whether it's the springs or the foam cushioning but, whatever it is, I'm very disappointed. Lane has had a good reputation in the past and this is a huge disappointment for something made in the USA.

I have had Lane furniture forever. I had an old Lane recliner. The only thing wrong was the worn out upholstery. I trashed thinking it would be cheaper to buy new than reupholster. Bad decision. Chairs are both Lane, design looks same, wooden frames. There comparison ends. New chair not as sturdy. I love the material but doubt it will hold up. There's more but Amazon made it good. I would definitely not buy again.
