I really love the look of these! My apartment is lacking in overhead lighting, and I was feeling frustrated with using floor lamps to light the room, but limited because an apartment rental doesn’t allow for a hardwired installation of more lighting. I was happy to find that they were compatible with the Philips Hue Color A19 bulbs, and the clear glass provides a really nice way to show off all the colors, which sometimes get muted underneath lampshades. They were easy to hang (I just hung them, plugged them in, and set them up with my Philips Hue bulbs and bridge). The clear cord blends pretty well with the wall and doesn’t look sloppy, though I wish these came with cord clips to keep them in place. All in all, a good buy and I definitely plan on buying more to replace the rest of my floor lamps.

I bought this lamp for task-lighting behind my living room sofa, and it looks & works great. Installing it was a little more involved than I anticipated; it required a screwdriver and level — and a different, handier person. (I quit because I wasn't able to just throw a nail in the wall and hang it like a picture frame, lol.) Even after it was hung by a handy person, the lamp was tricky to hang: the glass globe at the end of the swing arm is very heavy, so when we tried to swing it all the way to the left it made the lamp wall mount tilt. (We're still working on a solution to that.) Otherwise, the lamp is sturdy and of decent quality materials ~ I plan to buy another for the other end of the sofa.

My apartment has basically zero overhead lighting in the living room and, with vaulted ceilings, this was a great permanent looking option! Super quick to install and looks very simple and modern. One thing to note is that it isn't super durable if you want to extend it far or for some reason put weight on it. I don't expect that anyway since it was so much cheaper than other options. Also, I'm considering painting the glass since, depending on the type of light bulb you use, it can be a bit intense if you look directly at it. Overall, very happy with my purchase and will most likely buy a second for a more finished look!

Can't beat it for the price. It's not bullet proof and if you treat it like it isn't you won't have any problems installing it or adjusting it. I used the provided dry wall screws and anchors and didn't have any problems but I could see where some would. Just use the screw itself to punch the hole in your drywall and then insert the anchors (this will prevent you from making the holes too big). Once that is done you'll want to screw the screws almost all the way down, leaving just enough room for the backplate to grab them. The glass dome shade is extremely solid and well crafted. I probably wouldn't put this light in an area where it will be getting adjusted all the time (that's where I could possibly see it not holding up) It doesn't come with a bulb but an Edison style ST64 fits perfectly.

I purchased four of these and three of them were defective, the glass did not screw into the base properly and leaned to the side. I made many efforts to reach out to the manufacturer and after weeks I finally heard back from them and they are sending replacements. Once they fit, I will gladly update this. I’m just hoping that it is just the glass and not the base because if it’s the base it will require another electrician visit Making this an expensive purchase.

I installed this lamp in my bath doing a wall mount. I initially did not read carefully and failed to order a bulb. The antique bulbs are difficult to find where I live, so I ordered the 2700K bulbs from Amazon. They were a little too bright for the mood I wanted so I then ordered the 2200K which were perfect. The lamp is very well made, attractive and easy to install. I installed with one screw into a stud and one in a wall anchor. I am very pleased with the Globe Electric Light.

Honestly I bought this lamp cause it was the cheapest option available with the kind of specifications I was looking. But you get what you pay for. :( I got this from Amazon and then it was sitting on my shelf for a while, I did not get time to install it for months. Then one day I decided to install it(hardwire installation), and nothing went fine, the installation is bit tricky for this. The screws on the side that hold the whole weight of the lamp are kind of too small and are too close to wall / ceiling so too difficult to twist them. The weight of the lamp is kind of too much coz of glass, and it is shakes a lot everything you operate it. This was not enough, after all this crazy installation, the switch did not work ( I was gng for hard wire installation) and the switch (basically the reason why I went for this average looking lamp) just won't work the lamp always stayed ON. I later read some reviews here, other customers complaining the same issue. Unfortunately, I couldn't return it, as it was few months after delivery 😕 wish I has checked it on delivery.

I bought two of these to use as headboard sconces. I looked all over for plug in lamps with the switch ON the base instead of the cord. It was easy to install, I opened up the back, pulled the cord through the hole at the bottom of the base and ran it behind my headboard. The glass shade might be a tad too heavy for the arm, but the arm is also pretty stiff, wouldn’t recommend moving it a lot. We positioned it and have tried not to adjust much. You can kind of see the bend/drop in the arm due to weight. Other than that, great price, good quality and happy with the purchase. It’s super cute with the Edison bulbs too!

Seems a well made product, however due to the design the lamp tilts forward once installed giving an odd impression. Works well and as described, does dim which is a feature I enjoy and works with Alexa,

Set up using the backplate was tedious because you have to actually set it up in a manner to allow the whole unit to be twisted and locked into place if wall mounting The glass portions are very heavy, do not reccomend if wall mounting
