Firm bristles, long lasting
I’ve had this brush for 8 years now and it’s still in great condition. It’s lost few to no bristles and looks great. The bristles are quite firm so keep that in mind for whatever area you plan to use this brush on. I wouldn’t recommend going over very sensitive skin but it’s been great for exfoliating my legs.

FANTASTIC!!!
I've been seeking this brush for . . . . . 30yrs. Lol. There is ONE boars bristle brush that sufficed all this time, but just one. They are never stiff enough to get a good skin scrub on. I WANT a good stiff brush to gitterdone. This is just gloriously stiff and the bristles are TIGHT. I can bear down or go lighter pressure depending on area I am scrubbing, and it stil feels like the job gets done. Can't believe how perfect CACTUS bristles are, coming from boars bristle. I'm a total convert, about face. . . . WARNING, if you are what other reviewers would call a "baby pants" or a "sissy" (lol!) please do NOT get this brush and then write a bad review because it hurts you. If your skin is at all "too sensitive", please just stick with boars bristle, or something less abrasive. For what this is for, it's pure heaven. Wonder how long it will last? Looks like it would last much longer than my other standard skin brush; very sturdy looking and feeling, well made wood that holds bristles. It's

Good quality, but I could not recommend it for sensitive skin.
Just his other dry brushes have been a problem for me, this does irritate my skin. It does seem high-quality and I do not regret the purchase, but it does hurt. I asked my daughter to use it as well to see what she thought and she agreed. I will use it in the shower and be gentle but if you have sensitive skin, I do not recommend this.

Awesome dry skin body brush!
Just bought my second one, this brush is amazing! I was having an issue with my skin being really itchy and I assume its a symptom of peri-menopause, it was driving me nuts. been using it for almost a week now and this symptom is slowing going away so I bought another one to keep in the bathroom and one in the bedroom so I always have one handy and not have to run through the house, aside from helping with the itchy, my skin feels softer and smoother as well as LOOKS softer and smoother so I'm now hooked and dry brush my skin all over at least twice a day! thank you for having such a wonderful product!

Quality bristles, comfortable grip for dry brushing
I've spent way more time than I want to admit researching for the perfect dry brush for my needs. This skin body brush is it. From the first slip onto the hand, it feels secure and soft, without being shiny or odd shaped. It feels comfortable to use for the entire time I am dry brushing, and it doesn't get my hand to fall asleep or feel stiff after using it. This was my biggest concern, along with the quality of bristles. The bristles are hard, but I can tell they will soften up slowly and perfectly. They don't look or feel cheap, or fake. They are adhered to the brush well, and I don't see any of them falling out so far. I appreciate the natural cotton fabric for the hand to secure with, preferring it to any other brush I've had before. I am likely to purchase another one, for a backup, and also look into their other care products.

LOVE these firm bristles - not for the dry brushing beginner or tender areas!
l've been dry brushing for about 2 years now. Not necessarily because I believe it will remove cellulite or give me good chi or anything like that, but because it feels AMAZING and helps with my dry skin. I started with a Bass brush that I purchased from Whole Foods - the bristles are 1/2" long vegetable/cactus bristles (I think) and fairly soft and pliable. It worked well, or so I thought. On a whim, I decided I wanted to try a firmer bristle. After reading some reviews, I decided to purchase the Hydrea Firm/Extra Firm since I had a $25 gift card from Achievemint and the item was only $24.99. First, it arrived a solid 2 weeks ahead of schedule, all the way from the UK, in the middle of the Christmas rush - pretty awesome! The first thing I noticed? This thing is really well made! The bristles are about 1" long, packed densely and tight, and the strap is wide and attached solidly to the wood base. There's not a lot of play in the bristles, so I knew I'd be in for an experience. This brush hurts, but in that "hurts so good" kind of way. Like foam rolling or sports massages. The first time I used it, after 2+ years of using my Bass body brush, I could SEE dead skin flakes coming off of my legs (gross!). The sensation was prickly and almost hot, but good. I did long strokes on my legs and circular strokes on my torso. I will admit that the firm bristles were almost too painful for my torso, so I will either have to toughen up or maybe keep my Bass brush for the more delicate areas. My skin was pink, but almost itchy, like all the blood had rushed to the surface, or like how you'll itch like mad when you work out the first time after having not worked out in eons. After showering, my skin felt amazingly smooth and wonderful! All in all, I love this brush so far. I'd give 5 stars, but I had to dock 1 for this brush really not being good for more tender/delicate flesh.

Looks good
Ouch. Have to get used to this. Was using a stiff boar bristle hair brush just to try dry brushing before buying. This brush looks like it's well-made, good, hand size, comfortable in the hand, stiff and dense bristles, the latter is probably the reason this seems harsh compared to what I was testing with before. Will update if anything goes wrong.Update, December 9, 2016:Okay for legs, but really hurts and scratches (as in, leaves red marks) torso, hands, arms, etc. OW. Unless you have leather for skin, I don't recommend this brush. I'm trying to make it work by being super gentle in terms of pressure, but why is this so rough??
