UK five CD box set that represents the second half of the story of The Sound. Following their legendary albums for the Korova label, The Sound signed for Statik Records, releasing the mini-album Shock of Daylight, the full length album Heads And Hearts and the double LP live in the Hothouse recorded at London's Marquee. One further album for The Sound was released by Play It Again Sam before the band called it a day. All those recordings are included here with bonus B-sides, rare unheard demos and an unreleased track. Also included is the added bonus disc - Propaganda, the collection of recordings made at Adrian Borland's parents' house before the band signed for Korova.

Underrated Material from an Underrated Band
I've loved the Sound for years but never heard most of the albums here until I acquired this set. While the band does streamline their sound a bit on these later albums to make it slightly more pop-oriented, this is still great music. As a bonus, you also get the band's true first album which remained unreleased until the late 90s. Recommended, but I would advise getting the other box set on Demon Records before buying this one.

This is honest, good stuff! What a great band!
I don't know how I missed these guys, but better late than never! I can't even believe how friggin' good this box set is and for $20, how could you pass it up? I bought this one within 1 day of receiving their other box set. These guys are so damn good... I wish they were still making music. Highly recommend this set in addition to their other.

very nice set that mostly captures the later half of the band's material. there's actually some really early stuff here on the one disc (pre-jeopardy). knocking it down one star as i'm more partial to the music in the first set.

The BEST band ever
The Sound are the most under rated band of the period. Every time I play this someone runs over and asks who it is.

Excellent Boxset of The Sound’s Later Albums
Great collection, nice packaging and fantastic price for 5 CDs! Be sure to grab the 1st CD box set containing their earlier albums. I’d give this more than 5 stars if I could.

A great package
One of the great bands from my youth, and criminally overlooked for far inferior bands such as Echo and the Bunneymen, this is a great collection for any fan of The Sound. A nice booklet also. It's great to have this (and the earlier) box set at an affordable price, as before they came out CDs wer so over-priced they were unaffordable. This is wonderful.

Sound purchase
Music is a personal taste, but these contain all the tracks and more from the earlier released CDs (which are selling at roughly £40 each!) A must own for any Adrian Borland fan. The sleeves don't do the overall package justice but, at any thing under £20, these are an out and out bargain.
