Oster® Classic Series 8-Speed Blender with 6-Cup Glass Jar, Gray

I’ve been using the Oster Classic Series 8-speed blender, and it has been a great addition to my kitchen. I previously had an older Oster Classic model that lasted me about eight years, so I already trusted the brand and this new version actually feels even better. The 6-cup glass jar is sturdy and much higher quality than the lightweight plastic jars many blenders come with. It blends smoothly, and the 8 speeds give me good control for everything from smoothies to sauces. The motor is strong enough to handle ice and frozen fruit without struggling, and the base feels stable while running. It’s also easy to clean, which makes it convenient for everyday use. Overall, this Oster blender offers excellent performance for the price, simple, durable, and reliable. If you’re looking for something basic that works well without spending too much, this is a great choice.

Using it at least twice a day. Very good has more power than my small person sized blender that uses more watts and doesn't have anywhere near the power of this. This has a geared drive makes a big difference.

This is my 2nd Oster blender. The first one (had it 5 yrs.) works just great. I bought this one for my husband's house so I can make my smoothies there too. It's a sturdy blender made with glass - so no microplastics coming into contact with food. What I love about it: I like the one I bought 5 yrs ago, and I like this one even better... Oster is a reliable brand that performs well over time. This model IS quieter than prior models, like the customer reviews say. Many setting options is great. Notes on use: > I hardly ever use the high settings. From my perspective, blending a smoothie a little longer, at a lower speed, is gentler on the blades and less noisy than the higher speeds. Perhaps the fact I use it gingerly is why it performs so well over time. So take care of your blender. > I clean it with a brush in the sink. Once in awhile I take it apart and wash the parts individually, but in my opinion, it doesn't need that kind of deeper cleaning that often. > Another tip: A friend showed me how he cleans his blender and it's brilliant - he puts hot water in with some dishsoap and blends it! Then rinse & air dry. This is probably the very best way to clean it. But if your chia seeds are stuck in there, use a sink sponge or brush. I will never understand why people spend so much on expensive fancy blenders when Oster makes very good products that do the job just fine at a reasonable price point.

It runs ok but doesn't fit very good with the base.

Great blender .Has enough power for everything from smoothies to ice crushing.

This is the replacement for my 40+ year old "commercial" Osterizer that I used daily. I wanted to stay with Oster because I have several speciality mixing jars and blades that only fit the Oster. This unit performs as well or better than the high power blender it replaced. It's a little noisy but all blenders are noisy. The eight speeds are stepped so you can tell the difference from one to the next. This makes it much easier to decide which speed to use for a given task. In terms of specs, this unit is more powerful than others costing more. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Just received. I tried it to make sure it worked. Haven’t used it much yet but it seems like a very well made, sturdy blender.

The ice crush is very good and the mixing of my smoothies . Really like it. Excellent value
