Bionic Showdown: The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman [Regions 2 & 4]

Usually these made for TV movies are less than stellar quality as was true with the other "Bionic" movies I've purchased in the passed. This one however was a step up above. By no means HD quality but no deinterlacing was needed & the pic & sound pretty good. The movie itself is typical 80s 90s TV movie stuff, which I happen to love. Of the 3 Bionic movies I've found this, the 2nd one, to be the best. Kind of cool to see S. Bullock very early in her career. If you dig the SMDM & the Bionic Woman, or retro TV in general, you'll probably be into this too. A good purchase for me.

DVD came sooner then projected and the condition was better then expected.

I loved the movie. It brings back long lost memories of the past.

Not as good as I hoped. It was 80s TV at its worst. I mean no wonder they didn't green light a series with Sandra Bullock, she was hardly in it and hardly worth much in the story. Too bad.

Ahhhh the Six Million Dollar Man. Many is the time I have toyed with the idea of buying the complete box set of the series. But the truth is it’s outrageously expensive, so I’ve always held back. Well I bought Bionic Showdown in the hopes of scratching that itch and frankly it’s proof (if proof were needed) that sometimes your favourites from the past, don’t always appreciate being dug up and exposed to the light of today.I went in with my eyes wide open. Fully remembering that the spin off movies and really even some of the main series itself, suffered badly from the law of diminishing returns. But even given that is the case, Bionic Showdown still puts up a pretty poor show. Right from the opening credits the quality seems to suggest that they didn’t have the money, the wherewithal, or possibly the licenses, to do justice to the original series of either of its bionic headliners.Although notable for an early role from Sandra Bullock, this movie offers little or nothing of the feel, sounds and music, or imagery of those iconic series from your past. So if that’s why you’re here (and why wouldn’t you be) then my advice, sadly, is to give this one a miss.

The 2nd of 3 comeback movies and the weakest imo.Some nice moments, but a bit of a dirge to get through.I'd say this is for the hardcore fans only or look elsewhere.Excellent pic quality and no extras.I'm giving this one ...4/10Stay Bionic peeps!

Only really worth it to see a very young Sandra Bulloch as the main guest star role. It's all in context with the original show though but only missing the original's lovely 35mm film stock (this was shot in Canada on videotape).
