Rider-Waite Tarot has set the standard for hundreds of other tarot decks, which follow the archetypal images created by Pamela Colman Smith in 1909 under the direction of Arthur Edward Waite. This edition includes Smith’s original hand drawn titles.

Good Buy
Updated my review from 3 to 5 stars.Pros: they have a great finish and feel very good in the hands. They’re a breeze to shuffle, have the classic design, and not to mention are a good size.Cons: every suit is missing the titles at the bottom aside from the Major Arcana and Aces, Page, Knight, Queen, and King. And yes, it’s not just one suit, like the swords. But every one, the Cups, Wands, Swords, and Pentacles.Edit: I thought there was an issue where the cards 2-10 for every suit were missing the titles. But after doing some research, I see that this is the design of the original Rider-Waite. It’s only modern versions that have the title on the bottom of every card and this the cause for confusion. Absolutely would recommend.

Great cards....
I like these. Im still learning but they have a great feel, shuffle well and nice coating. I bought another that was a hologram type surface...looked nice but slippery and hard to work with.....these are not that way at all but they do have a protection so they will wear well. Only downside for me is not meaning booklet to speak of..... the book i have is for another style of tarot cards so i should have paid more attention. Working with tarot is fascinating tho. Ive used runes for years but discovering there is a little more info available thru the cards. Overall pleased

What's Not to Love?
This deck is such a long-loved classic and doesn't disappoint. The colors are vibrant and the deck is a perfect shuffling size. I highly recommend this deck for it's timelessness, consistency, and readability. The deck comes with a paper booklet explaining what's what which is a must, especially when learning the basics as this deck is hugely without a certain theme, per se.I'm enthralled with this deck! "Cleansing" the deck before using by going over it with some sage, salt, and infused words of clarity, etc. is my personal recommendation, as we all want an energetically clean deck. I do hope you love this tarot deck as much as I do!

My favorite deck. I connect with this deck more than other types.
It's all so personal, it depends what kind of deck you personally connect with... but this works well for me. The price is really good as well. And the size isn't too big, so I'm able to shuffle them, which I like. Sometimes when decks are big, it's harder to shuffle, but these are perfect.

No instruction booklet, as advertised
Despite the description from Amazon/U.S. Games "The Rider Tarot Deck Original Rider-Waite with Instruction Booklet", this deck comes with an instruction sheet (2.5" x 4", folded) in about point 2 font. The text is probably Rider-Waite but I can't confirm because I misplaced my booklet while traveling and this text can't be read without magnification. The deck is otherwise nice.

Reasonably priced. Not much higher than I paid for my 1st deck in the 80s.
I love these cards. I love the price. Don’t think they were much lest than that when I bought my first deck at a Walden’s book store in the 1980s.
