very good
The spiritual martial arts are a joy to study, and practice. The novice needs many blows. The experienced student needs but one, guided by intuition. The master needs no blows, having deflected the conflict so that violence is not necessary. Hoshinjutsu has been called Ninjutsu light. I would also want to readย Path Notes of an American Ninja Master ย andย Shadow Strategies of an American Ninja Master , along with this. P. 30 has a meditation to enter no-mind, which is simple and highly effective. That is the only place to practice. Any practicioner wants to get rid of toxins, so there is a section on that, and also on Chi Kung energy blockage removal. The secret smile exercise on p. 78 is the best discussion of that in print that I have found. I would compare this book toย The Way of Energy: Mastering the Chinese Art of Internal Strength with Chi Kung Exercise (A Gaia Original) , which amplifies some points. This is not a book quite at the level of Sensei Morris, however it is still useful. There is a section on the belt requirements, which is useful.

Good book
The book is an introduction to the basic components of Hoshinjutsu, the style of martial art created as a result Glenn Morris's experience in Bujinkan and many other arts throughout his long history in the martial craft. Is it as good as the Path Notes books? Not even close, but i don't think it tries to be...rather it is a superficial introduction to the art for those interested in studying further. It is a short book, only a little over a hundred pages. Yet still well written and there are quite a few useful gems in there for martial artist of all stripes.

Great overview of the work started by Dr. Glenn Morris
I have long follwoed the work of Dr. Glenn Morris since I knew of his students in the Bujinkan close to where I live. I was very interested in the stories of the esoteric side of martial arts and bought most of Dr. Morris's books. Rob's book is an excellent overview of the work that Dr. Morris started with good descriptions and anecdotes about Dr. Morris. I was in the Bujinkan for a number of years and was drawn towards to teh spiritual side of the martial art. This book outlines the techniques for approaching your increased spiritual awareness and enlightment. It is an easy raed and well recommended for those trying to better understand the mystical side of the arts in practical terms.

A solid foundation in the disipline of chi development.
This book makes it approachable in the often obscure art of chi development and explains the art of hoshinjutsu in laymen terms that makes it unique in the manner that almost any martial artist can grasp and possibly be able to implement in a considerable short period of time. Excellent source for anyone interested in hoshinjutsu or the development of chi!

Good Overview
This book is a very good overview of the system. I like Soke's description of personal experiences. It was well written and I am using it for my Hoshin training.
