The trays are sturdy enough to reuse, but lightweight and compact enough to fit on a sunny windowsill or shelf. The drainage is on point, and I didn’t have any issues with mold or waterlogging — which is a big win in my book. Easy to use takes the win here! Great seed starting trays! The domes fit great and I like that they have a vent option at the top. I’ve always struggled with my cells packs without a vented dome developing green algae on the soil surface, and the vent seemed to correct that problem. I had 100% germination! I didn’t know if I’d like the clear cell packs since I’ve always used the black kind, but it’s pretty neat to be able to see the root development and know without a doubt it’s time to pot the seedlings up. The black tray is flimsy, but it’s held up. You just gotta make sure you use both hands when filling at the faucet to water the cell pack from the bottom. I highly recommend these, and will be purchasing another set to up my seed-starting game! Oh! And the little tools are so awesome! Great for pushing seeds down, and plucking seedlings out to pot up! And pro tip-leave one of the cells empty, so you can pour water in it to fill the black tray to water the seedlings. Easier than trying to juggle the clear cell pack out, fill the black tray with water, then put the cell pack back in, etc.

These are pretty sturdy. One star off because one of the little piece with the lights was broken upon arrival. It still works but really shouldn’t have been sent out like that. The cells are more like plug size not your normal 6-pack cell size. I will probably have to transplant into a bigger small pot before going into the garden. They’re easy to fill with planting mix. I think could be reusable if you’re not too rough on them. Now if I can keep my little helper out and off of them. After I see how they worked I may update this review. I’m not sure about the lights. It looks like to me there needs to be 4 per lid. We’ll see.

Excellent for staring new seeds. I used for PAL Choi and every single seed sprouted over 40! So handy for started large quantities of plants or herbs!

Sturdy trays, easy to fill, nice thickness. These have drainage holes and humidity vent.

Very cheap flimsy material. Absolutely will not hold shape if placed in direct sunlight. I have this and the smaller 6 cell count ones. I ended up throwing them away. Spend a little more the black plastic and you will have them forever.

The trays are light, self contained and very easy to work with. Since I've never worked with seeds before, this is a very easy way to get started.
