The HT 1 1/2-10CR torch is a well made shop torch. Construction, fit, and finish are very good, and the 10-foot hose is a good length. Balance is good, the knurled adjustment knob turns freely and smoothly, and the burner produces an even flame. The attached stand is a nice feature, and allows you to set safely set the torch down without completely turning off the flame. The included striker and flints are also good quality and well functioning. I have been very pleased with this torch, which is used in an art studio, primarily for heating bronze and steel sculptures prior to application of patinas and wax.

Works great! am an electrician so this heats up my conduits with no problem.

Seemed really nice. Well built, made with heavy-gauge tubing, looked like quality fittings. Fired up great. But the flame size knob feels like the cheapest possible thing they could find. It's mushy and spongy and if you adjust it slightly, it actually turns itself back to the old setting. You know, I'm already in for $95, just spend the extra $5 and put a decent knob on there. As it is, it's either on or off. There is no fine adjustment. Update: 2 years later and it's unusable. Rust is just constantly pouring out of it. The third time I had to stop, let it cool, and disassemble it to clean the rust out of the plugged aperture I said 'screw it" and threw it in the trash. If you're gonna make disposable harbor freight garbage, just import it from China and save everyone some time.

we do tons of roofing work and was looking for a small torch to do detail work. this works perfictly. great BTU and small enough to do all angle burns. it a must have if you do tons of burn down roofing.

This would've been great for the smaller detail rubber roof jobs (exactly why I bought this) if there was any kind of control over the flame like my big torch that is controlled by a lever...So I basically used my big torch and wasted my money...

The torch is well built and works great. I'm primarily using it to pre-heat metal in my shop and the compact size, built-in stand, and cheap fuel make it a nice addition to my other torches. I very happy with it.
