BOPai 24 inch Suction Cup Towel Bar – No Drill, for Smooth Surfaces Only, Chrome

There are a number of reviews stating that this does not work on drywall or surfaces other than bathroom tile/marble. Those reviews are somewhat correct, but not entirely... The uneven surface of drywall or something similar does prevent a good vacuum seal from being maintained. HOWEVER, the product does come with two 3M adhesive-backed, round discs that can be used to mount the towel bar to rougher surfaces like drywall. One side of the discs is the 3M adhesive, and the other side is a material (possibly silicone?) similar to the suction cups on the actual towel bar. I found it easiest to first remove the very thin, barely noticeable plastic film from both discs on the white silicone side. (Keep the 3M adhesive side covered for now.) Then, place those discs on a table with the exposed silicone surface facing up, and line up the towel bar's suction cups and engage them onto the discs while pressing down. Once the discs are now stuck to the towel bar, then remove the film on the 3M adhesive side of the discs. Finally, press the entire towel bar and discs assembly onto your drywall or surface. In my opinion, this was the easiest way to make sure the discs are aligned well with the towel bar. Apart from that, this towel bar appears elegant and well-made. It seems sturdy and I expect it to last a long time. I would highly recommend for those looking for a solution that does not require drilling holes into their wall. The 3M adhesive-backed discs may or may not affect the drywall over time, and getting them off will probably be a challenge, but I think this at least beats drilling holes into the wall.

My builder was too cheap to put towel hangers in our new home. We have a glass shower. This works well and is nice and strong. Much better than others I have used. I will keep you posted as time goes on.

I didn't know how much I needed towel bar for my hand towel until I attached this to my glass shower. Easy to attach and detach. Has a strong hold and looks stylish.

Love the bright shiny chrome and what appears to be great suction of the vacuum cup. Time will tell. 1 star off for no instructions. Don't care what the item is, it should always have instructions. Knew to clean surface with alcohol rather than soap because I was installing a different brand (same type of rod) and it had instructions directing the use of alcohol. Will follow up later on update regarding vacuum cup. 2 months later - follow up. Rack still attached with no obvious issues. Rack still feels as stable and attached as it did when first installed. Towels off and on seem to have no impact to cups losing vacuum. Very pleased with purchase and would do so again if needed.

I’m so surprised how well these work! Our new apartment oddly had no towel racks but we really didn’t want to bother with installing ones permanently since we’re renting. We have a large tiled portion of our bathroom and these stick to it perfectly! Only once did it get too much moisture behind it and slip a bit, but it’s quick and easy to reset and once in 5 months is totally fine. I’m pretty amazed by how good the suction power is—they feel very sturdy when attached. They also look exactly as pictures in terms of finish. For the price, totally worth the hassle to not install permanent fixtures!

This works well. I have a mirrored wall in my bathroom and I attached the bar to it with the suctions, then hung 2 bath towels.

The bar and the way it's made seems sturdy enough, and the suction cups really attach strongly. My issue is I ordered the satin brushed nickel finish but they ignored it and sent bright polished chrome instead which sticks out like a sore thumb. I have already set up the return for the wrong item, and ordered the correct version -again-. Let's see if that was a mistake or if it is their business model to just send whatever *they* think I should have.

Suction cups work great. Still attached to glass shower wall even with large heavy towels in use daily. Easy to install and size accommodates one large towel. The finish and design match other plumbing trim in bathroom

Fitted in my bathroom by the shower. Very easy to install and has brilliant adhesion, far superior to the one it replaced. It has a high chrome finish and looks very good. I am very impressed with it.
