Superior Smart Lighting – Worth It on Sale
Another Philips Hue review here. Honestly, I only buy open‑box options or wait for Prime Day because the price is steep for my taste. But it’s the ONLY smart lighting system I’ll use. The superiority comes from the Zigbee hub setup. Back when I was using Wi‑Fi bulbs, they constantly searched for a better signal—even when they already had the best connection. With 50 devices on my ultra‑fast 1TB internet, 30 of them were smart bulbs, and the constant chatter bogged everything down. Switching to Hue solved that problem. All the lights connect through a single hub, so my Wi‑Fi is fast again, and the bulbs respond instantly. The color options are excellent, the app is reliable, and the system scales beautifully across the house. Expensive, yes—but if you care about performance and stability, Hue is the smart lighting system to trust.

Have used one of these smart bulbs for years
Love these smart bulbs because you only need to download an app to turn them on, change color & brightness. As easy to install as screwing in a lightbulb. Easy to control as tapping on your app icon. No other equipment necessary unless you want to use a dozen or more of these bulbs. Lasts for years. Functions as described.

Still the best smart lightning option
I’ve been accumulating these bulbs for the past 10 years. I can say these still mach the color rendering of the first batch. The Hue app has been slowly updated over the years to include some nice features including lighting effects and security features. I will say that it is a bit annoying that the app requires an account and login to use the remote features but that has become the norm with IoT devices. I can say that the color rendering and smoothness of dimming is still superior to most of the less expensive alternatives on Amazon. Once you add in the quality of the control app as well as very good Apple HomeKit integration, the Hue lights and system are still the superior option.

Ahh yea
Love these. Go all in on it for everything in your house if you decide to use this brand. It’s easier to just get used to it all on your phone. Well not all at once. Yes it’s expensive but very convenient. Love setting the mood and being able to dim in general. Also you can now set timers for when things come on. Handy this time of year to buy the plug adapter for turning the Christmas tree on and off

Some Of The Best Smart Bulbs On The Market!
Ever since I went to a large electronics retail store near me to get something totally different than these bulbs and saw the Philips Hue demonstrated in concert with what I was looking for, I was hooked on them. I have them throughout my home and have them in my office at work. I have about 30 of them in my house and 10 of them in my office. To say the least, I am more than satisfied with the Philips Hue products. Now the review… Philips have been making bulbs for many years and then when they broke into the industry of smart wifi bulbs, they became quite the hit. Pair the hue bulbs with the Hue Bridge and the app, one’s creative side can really shine. The Build Quality. These bulbs have a little heft to them whereas there is a lot of technology that needs to be crammed into a space the size … well the size of a light bulb. The build quality in my opinion is pretty solid and done well. The illumination part diffuses the LEDs used in these bulbs are very smooth and do not see any hot spots whatsoever from the LEDS inside. The colors produced from the RGB LEDS are pretty rich and vibrant but as in every RGB style bulb, the light output will vary from color to color and different white temperatures. Case in point. If you choose the bulbs to light up in blue, the overall Lumens factor will be less than if you choose to use Yellow or other bright colors of the spectrum. But if you go with the white ambiance aspect, the whites will pretty much be equal in Lumens factor from the lower temperature like 2700K to the higher temperatures like 6500k. Features. These bulbs are full of them when you connect them with the Hue bridge. You can have them turn on and off with the use of Google Home, Assistant or Alexa. You can turn them on or off with the use of the user-friendly app and even turn them on or off when you are out and about as long as you have the app connected to the cloud server set up within your smart home. You can set up various different scenes as long as you have multiple Hue Bulbs. Scenes really don’t look great or seems simplistic if you have just one bulb. To get the best results, I recommend 5 or more of the Hue Bulbs in a room to get the different color scenes to show off well. (Refer to the bedroom pic I posted with this review.) The latest versions of the Hue Bulbs can be operated via Bluetooth on the dedicated Bluetooth version of the Hue app. So, with bulbs having the Bluetooth technology, you do not need to have the Hue Bridge. The downside to that is you will not be able to set up multiple rooms and you can only control 10 Hue Bulbs via Bluetooth vs. up to 50 Hue Bulbs with using the Hue Bridge. If there is anything that would be considered a downfall to these bulbs, is they are a bit on the pricy side. I have a few thousand dollars invested in my Hue Echo System and love everything about these bulbs. That would be the only flaw I can find with them. The Recap. These are some of the top of the line of smart bulbs. Can you find cheaper bulbs as far as costs is concerned? Yes, you can. But the saying goes, “You get what you pay for.” And that holds true with these bulbs. If you are willing to invest into the Hue System, you won’t be disappointed.

Best bulbs if you can get on sale
If you can get these on sale, do it. I've had wifi bulbs and they constantly disconnected for no reason. I wanted Zigby and these are the best out there but also the most overpriced. But you get quality for the cost. They have never lost connection and they turn off with a dimming effect vs just off which I didn't even know was a feature I'd like. They are way too expensive at regular price but if you can get them on sale, you won't regret it. Only 4 stars though just because of how expensive they are

Long lasting and good colors
These bulbs are great, I have about 60 of them around my house. These were to replace a couple that died, but most bulbs are lasting over 7 years even outside in post lights. The programs you can use to make them change colors for holidays is great, definitely use the app. You can also buy remote switches you can program to the room so you can turn on and off the lights remotely.

These are the bulbs to buy
These are the best smart bulbs on the market. Worth the price and always work. I have other brand smart lights that don’t require a hub and they are always lose connection.

I've had this model bulb running for many years now...never a failure and work great with the Hue app. They are more expensive than most, but I've been down the 'cheaper' route...never again.

La mejor marca en cuanto a focos inteligentes, es cara pero vale la pena, puedes comprar un starter y luego poco a poco irte haciendo de más focos

My whole house is almost filled with these Philips Hue light. I have a few set up for automation and the other ones I use them with Alexa. They save on electricity and me going around the house at bedtime turning off lamps. The lights last for years. I love the colours and the scenes. On the app you can even pick scenes for different holidays too.
