Kept me from shocking myself within the first week

I'm overall quite happy with the Klein Tools, but I wanted to comment more specifically on the RT105 outlet tester—it's a reliable and handy tool. However, the LED lights are quite dim, which makes it difficult to read in bright outdoor conditions. You really have to cup the device and get up close to see the status lights clearly. For indoor use, it's fantastic, but just be aware of this limitation if you plan on using it outside.

Nice tool to have if you're doing any kind of electrical. These tools are a nice way of double checking to make sure no current is running through anything you're trying to wire up.

My experience with electric work can be summed up as "I've watched a lot of YouTube videos." When I bought my house, this was one of my first purchases. It helped me identify a number of hot wires in the basement, validate that I didn't screw up wiring a new outlet, and really made me feel confident in my work. You may be an electrician or someone infinitely more handy than me - in which case, you probably know a thing or two. If you're a new homeowner, like me, this is a must include in your home toolkit. I really appreciate the value and it's ease of use.

I haven't gone wrong by getting things that are made by Klein Tools yet, so that's why I chose to get a non-contact tester made by them. And so far, it works just as well as I expected it to. There's a whole lot of these out there though, so it's not easy to choose one. And as luck would have it, after I ordered this one, I saw a non-contact voltage tester that I would maybe rather have... It's one that's made by Kaiweets, and it has a little screen on it that shows the signal percentage! I'm definitely going to keep this non-contact voltage tester of course, but seeing as how the Kaiweets one is usually priced at only $14.99, I'll probably just get that one too. Well, there are a lot of these things out there to choose from. But if you have happened to stumble upon this one and you are reading this review, I can at least say that I would definitely recommend one.

I was impressed with both of these tiny, easy to use units. The outlet tester works immediately by plugging it in around your house. I also enjoyed using the contactless voltage tester. It appears accurate, and will help me with mapping the electrical boxes in my house. I would recommend the set for new homeowners.
