Excellent, would reccomend to anyone with sugar addiction.
This book is really a doable, helpful and applicable diet plan for anyone with sugar addiction. I have sugar addiction and have been working at better following the guidelines set forth. I can't say I do it perfectly, but I lost 15 lbs in one month cutting out the dr pepper, and processed foods! And it is still off almost 2 months later. I feel better, think better, remember better, concentrate better, am not all jittery, and the sluggishness is GONE!I couldn't stop drinking dr pepper even though I had had cancer. Sugar can re-activate cancer. Mine is in remission and even knowing that it could reactivate my cancer was not enough for me to stop drinking the dr pepper. This book gave me the information and tools to know, for example, if I eat a cookie by itself it will make me want a dr pepper. So I always ended up going back to the dr pepper. The main trick is not to eat sugar alone or anything with sugar alone. It must be taken with a meal to avoid sugar cravings and going back to our sugar of choice.Great- Five Stars!

Life changing book!
i have three of kathleens books potatoes not prozac,your last diet,the sugar addicts total recovery program.i LOVE them all.i feel like i now have the knowledge and skills to find my way.ive read literally hundreds of diet books.ive tried nearly every diet i have run across.but this...is different! IF YOU FEEL THAT FOOD IS YOUR ENEMY READ THIS BOOK! I found alot in all of them.i feel free from food addictions for the first time ever! Do the food,journal all of it it will change your life like it did mine i hope!

Great book
I first read this book in October 2011 and it set me on a path to lose 75 LBS through 2012. Very well written. It was like Kathleen was speaking right to me and my concerns. I started by following the first few steps to add protein for breakfast, cut the big sugars (candy which was a huge problem for me) and log all my food. After a few months of getting my brain biochemistry straight as detailed in the book, I started on a good diet and exercise program with control and discipline. The weight steadily fell off and I can't believe my success. Thanks to Dr. Desmaisons for lighting the way for me!

HAVE YOU SEARCHED HIGH AND LOW FOR "THE ANSWER"?
Over the last several years as I have had my babies and gotten older, the weight crept up on me until I found myself carrying around an additional 40 pounds that I NEVER thought I would have to battle! I have searched high and low for "The Answer" ... Weight Watchers, The Zone, Richard Simmons, low carb, low fat, low calorie, personal trainers, videos, machines, thermogenic pills and drinks ... my book shelves hold a selection of books that rival any book store and my cabinets are full of specialty bars, drinks and pills. To be honest, I DID loose some of the weight with these programs. However, even though I was lighter than before, I STILL was preoccupied with food, still battling chocolate urges, still on the merry-go-round of eating too much one day and starving the next. This is the only program that actually explains what is going on and WHY and actually outlines a way to heal this craziness from the inside out. If you are tired of searching and throwing away your money and your self esteem with each new diet plan tried and discarded, then I strongly urge you to read this book and get set for some fantastic REALITY!

Wonderful follow-up to Potatoes not Prozac and The Sugar Addict's Total Recovery Program. If you feel like you are out of control with your eating. If you feel that eating is just a dysfunctional relationship with your body then these books are for you. Enough said.

Your Last Diet, Potatoes not Prozac, & The Sugar Addict's Total Recovery Program
I've always been a sugar addict but just didn't want to admit it. I know it causes my weight problem and when I saw these books I couldn't decide which to get, so I got all three. I'm still reading them but each one is very interesting. I didn't know there were any books about this problem. These are simple enough and very helpful with what to expect and why you feel the way you do and what you need to do. I can't believe it took me this long to find some help. This could really be my LAST diet!!

Felt like she had read my mind
Wow! from the moment I started reading this book I knew I was on the right track. It really is as if Dr DesMaisons has read my mind. I have struggled with eating disorders, weight-loss and eating far too much sugar and white starches and couldn't understand why it was so difficult to change my way of thinking/doing for more than a few weeks at a time. I have type-2 diabetes and know the consequences of such out-of-control eating but it didnt seem to help. I read the book from cover to cover and have completed a week and a half of Step 1. I have found that this has had a great affect on my general mood and feeling of clarity and it has had a knock-on effect that I am becoming more aware of the rest of my eating. This is not a quick fix programme at all. Frankly, when have they ever worked??? If, like me, you want to make a difference that lasts then this is definitely worth your time. I figured that if it takes 2 years to deal with this then it is two years spent getting healthy and not fighting myself! As an added bonus it also has an amazingly supportive (and free!) online community via her website. People who have been where you are and can offer words of wisdom and support if you are struggling. Highly recommended.

Brilliant Book
A brilliant diet book - i am only half way through but its hard to put down - brilliant for anyone with depression.
