The media could not be loaded.  Our kids (8 and 7) couldn't wait to get the tracks laid out. The packaging was efficient and there was no issues taking it out of the box. There was a small learning curve to get the tracks connected but once you got the handle putting them together, the course laid out nicely. I would suggest new owners to lay out the tracks according to the manual first and then snap them into place. While they're easy to disassemble, it'll save you a lot of time. Also be prepared to take up more room than you originally planned. What makes this slot racer better than others is the size of the tracks and how fast the cars can drift around the corners and hit those straightaways with some quickness. Love, love the lights on the car racers. Makes for a fun evening with the kids and a lifetime of memories. I hope the company will carry accessories in the future. What'd be great is a lap meter that could count the number of laps to determine the winner. Adding some race car sounds would be pretty nifty too. The cars are sturdy and looks like they can sustain some adolescent abuse. Looking forward to replicating some of their more difficult race tracks as the kid's skills improve.

I got this for my son's 5th birthday, and I am totally blown away by how awesome this set is. I used to play with traditional slot car sets when I was younger and being able to move around side to side on the track adds an element that can only be found in RC cars. Cutting off your opponent is so much fun. My kids absolutely love it and even my 2 year old is able to race without difficulty and unlike traditional slot cars, it seems to hold their attention for longer. There are additional cars you can purchase with remotes to add racers to the track as well. It comes with a fair amount of track to come up with interesting track combos.

This product is not that great. White car is barely usable. I sent email to their customer service and got no response. Grandson loves it, but he only uses one car. That's not much fun for grandpa to play too. The orange car works great. The white one is so slow that it is basically useless.If the company wants a better review, they should at least reply to my email.

Just disappointing. For this amount of money I expected a lot more. As many other reviewers have said, one of the cars that showed up doesn't work at all. A slot car set I had 30 years ago was so much better. Now I have to either buy a new car and controller for +$30 or return the whole thing.

Updated on 8/8/2016: We returned the item. The white car and controller did not work well as compared to the orange car and controller. The orange car and controller was fun to use on the track. We were hoping to get the white car and controller replaced but no luck. The white car sometimes would not move - had to push it to get going, sometimes it went in reverse, and it had only one speed setting, might be that the controller did not work correctly. The orange car controller had a red LED light that came on when it was turned on, the white car controller you could not tell when it was on, no red LED light came on.Original review: It is fun but ours runs at one speed, fast (not turbo). If we try to slow it down the cars will not move unless you push them and then they stop in the turns. We bought new batteries, charged the batteries, cleaned the wheels and cleaned the track, no change. It is on a flat floor and no uphill. Often the cars will turn 180 degrees and go the other direction or run off the track. So far only adults have played with the set, we are testing it before grand kids come over. Changing lanes is a nice feature.

This is a great set. Track is easy to assemble, the response of the cars is great. My son is autistic and the joy he’s getting from this is awesome to see

Has taken alot of abuse from the kids (12, 9, 5) and keeps ticking. Love the change lane feature. The track is large and easy to click together.
