This item is not able to be it together without beating it with a hammer. Half of the “puzzle like” ends line up and the won’t snap into place. If you force one spot, another spot separates or it bows. I have put all my weight pressing it against a hard surface and nothing. I will be returning this item

Great for the college desk space

**I’ve been using it for a few weeks!** I bought this for our home office. Personally I’m terrible at putting stuff together, so I had my roommate put it together and he had it together in less than 5 minutes! He said it was easy to put together but the last piece was hard to snap in place and he was afraid he was going to break it. So far it has been sturdy enough to hold all the notebooks, files, folders, binders etc I needed it for! I will say it was A LOT more sturdy once it was all put together than I ever world have guessed! So far I would say it is definitely worth the money!!! Will update after a few months of using!

I couldn't believe this product when I opened the bag. It came in pieces with no written instructions. I had to watch the video attached to the product pictures on Amazon and pause the video over and over to make sure I was using the correct piece and assembling correctly. Then I noticed pencil markings and scuffs all over the pieces (see attached pictures). The product is white, so the pencil markings really stand out. Fortunately I was able to place most of the scuffs and banged up pieces on the back of the product or hidden during assembly. Additionally, someone's hair was packaged in between the pieces. Yuck. I would have returned it, but I made a rookie mistake and didn't even open the packaging until I had missed the return date by 2 weeks.For the price I paid for this product, I expect more. Shame on the manufacturer for not having more respect for their customer's time and including a simple handout with assembly directions. And shame on them for not taking more pride in their product by protecting the pieces from damage. And shame on me for not opening my order right away! Never again.This would be a one star review, but I increased it to two stars because, once assembled, the piece seems pretty sturdy.

Bought this to separate both papers and most frequently used art books at the same time. Assembly was doable for a young woman mid 20s, so it's not impossible to put together. It is indeed a more 'lavender-ish' white, my desk is pure white so you can see the color difference. Big upgrade to the small metal bookends I was using before, and I can use the paper section for notes and sketches.It does look like 'styrofoam' as another reviewer said so it's more practical over clean/pretty, but it's extremely sturdy. It was bowing a bit in the center because I'm putting in fairly heavy books, but I stuck a random magazine underneath which did wonders.Overall, it's not the prettiest with the styrofoam look and visible connection notches, but it's clean, and it does what I need to in a very simple and inexpensive way.

This is so aggravating to put together BUT it is worth the 5 stars I am giving it.Once I (and my assistant) put it together, I realized how sturdy it was. I was very skeptical but I'm glad I purchased it! As a librarian, I'm constantly filling the spaces with papers, stacking heavy books on top, pulling notebooks from side, and everything in between and it still looks like new all these months later! I definitely recommend!
