Warm the bottle in hot water.
this oil has a lovely scent that reminds me of pineapple more than citrus that everyone is talking about. It also has a scent that kind of changes. if you put a good amount of it on your face it kind of has a more savory curry type scent like the way fenugreek changes from a maple aroma to a savory curry aroma of too much is used. You don’t need a lot and the pictures show that in the bottle it is SOLID. Do not expect to open the package and the thing will pour out. You need to put it in a bowl of hot water for about 5 minutes. I transferred mine to a glass 2 oz pot to show the difference between it being melted and not melted. Only a tiny amount is needed for hair

Good stuff
Solid oil. Warm in a bowl of hot water to pour out. Strong smell and orange color but that’s how it is, great product

An unusual oil
This is one of those oils that shouldn't be in a bottle. You may not know that when it gets to you because it melts easily with any heat. Mine showed up mostly melted, and did not do very well in shipping. The oil had separated out a bit, and I had to put it in a blender to get the wax/thick esters to combine with the oil (it had formed large granules). Once blended, it turned back into the thick oil (akin to babassu - thinner than coconut but has just enough body to keep it solid at room temp). Please be aware that you may have to do this to get the oil to it's usual consistency if you have it shipped in the heat (I'll have to remember to buy thicker oils during fall and winter). The scent... is unusual. The closest approximation I can come to is somewhere between lemon and mandarin with a touch of liquor. That's no joke. It's not terribly strong nor overpowering. It's very easy to cover up with fragrances.I expected the scent to be more sweet based on the description, but the sweet smell is pretty light, more of a sour smell (again, like alcoholic oranges)I'd give the container a 0 if I could.I'm giving a four start because:- this is very clearly authentic Pequi FRUIT oil, which is a rare find- the use-by date is in about six months out... and I would have rather gotten fresher stock... ESPECIALLY for the price.

Good stuff
It seems good quality. I think it's a good value. You get plenty and it goes a long way. It feels good on the skin. Yeah, it's got a odd, fruity, strong smell, but it mixes well with other oils like shea butter.

Great smell and skin feel
I love the way this oil smells. A little bit goes off way and it adds a wonderful orangy color your products. The skin feels wonderful

Smell
Pequi Oil smells like Mangoes and a strong petroleum product. It has to mixed with something else to be tolerable. I mixed it with Marula oil.

smells great, wonderful for skin
I love the beautiful golden orange color that it adds to the skin balm that I made with this as well as the mango like scent. You only need a bit of it for those benefits when combined with shea butter or other oils.
