Awesome throw bag
Perfect for shore and water related activities. I use mine for practice throws. Haven’t had any issues with it.

Not for longevity
I teach aquatics courses and love boating. If you need a cheap bag that will work for teaching classes or a throw bag that will work for a week canoe or kayak trip for kids, this is a great fit. If you need it for beach lifeguard, fire/rescue, or pool lifeguard I don't recommend this. The rope is fine and seems quality enough. The bag is cheap nylon and the sun or chloramines will degrade it too quickly.

Great Safety item for every boater
Being able to "reach" a struggling boater or swimmer without putting yourself in harm's way is literally two way life saver. You can toss the bag (as per instructions) to a person (practice a few times) and pull them to safety without you getting into the water. BE SURE TO PACK THE ROPE AFTER USE HAND OVER HAND. DO NOT coil up or try some other "efficient" repacking, it will not deploy successfully. Simply take 5 minutes and feel the rope into the bag and it will deploy swimmingly.

I'm glad we never needed it but it was good to know we had it.

It worked fine, but will likely age quickly.
I got three of these for a training event conducted in a pool. So they got thrown and packed dozens of times over the course of a day. I can't really say how much of the products lifespan was consumed during the day but wear and tear is evident on all of them. Factory tied knots came undone and the ropes are all feathered or slightly frayed in spots. The bag's stitchlines, especially where it is rolled over to cover the draw cord, are very frayed. You can seen strain marks where the fabric was pulled and in now almost see through from just wet handling.I rinsed them all and layed them out to dry before inspecting and repacking these were only 3 of the 8 I used during the day. Pound for pound, there is a version by Fox 40 that is the same price and one of them was in the mix. It also started the day new and it still looks new. So, this is fine for a boat bag or very light use but the bag will likely fade and fail from just direct sunlight.

Good Bag at this price point.
Awesome price. I got this for 12.99 and they are typically 20 bucks at Wal-Mart. Definitely will come in handy if I ever have to rescue on the river.
